“Loved my Stay!! Great Staff, Large rooms,Internet & work space!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2010

The JR suite was perfect for my stay. The bed was comfortable. Loved the free hi-speed internet and there was plenty of space to work in the room. The entire staff was wonderful, cheerful, and eager to of assistance. The manager helped me with my bags and of course refused a tip. The location is just a few minutes from many attractions, several restaurants, shopping, and easy access to the Interstate. Plenty of parking and did not have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for extras. I will stay here again and can't wait to go down to relax with my husband.

We just returned from a 5 day stay in the Point Orlando Resort. We reserved a 2 bedroom suite, which was really 2 seperate apartments ( a 1 bedroom and an efficiency) located next to each other in the suite. This building is a former condominium with all the great ammenities and upgrades that come with living in a condo. My children (ages 5, 7 &12) were very excited about having their own "apartment". The suite was actually big enough for 8 people. Both beds were king sized and both rooms had queen size sofa beds. Our room was on the first floor, right past the lobby. The one bedroom suite had a well equipped modern kitchen including a top and bottom washing machine and dryer. There was also a dishwasher and full utensils, plates, glasses, pots, pans and microwave trays and supplies. The efficiency suite had a mini kitchen with a sink, mini fridge, microwave and all the same plates, glasses, etc. All detergents are supplied by the hotel on a daily basis, along with a daily service with clean towels replenished, garbage emptied, beds made, etc. The reception staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel pool was excellent! The pool restroom was very clean as was the entire area around the pool. It was a very serene environment. We were very happy with our choice of hotel and would strongly recommend it to families visiting the Orlando area. It's near family friendly restaurants (even a Chuck E Cheeses) and other family friendly activities and amusements, including the Wet & Wild water park. It is by far one of the best hotels in Orlando. Be sure to check out their inclusive packages. You won't be disappointed!

Stayed at the Point Orlando resort on a business trip and had a wounderful experience. The one bedroom suite was very spacious according to hotel standards and was very clean. The hotel is fairly new, but is def on it's way to a five star rating. I will be returning to this wounderful hotel with my family, sooner than later.

The reviews are all true lovely accommodation. Just don't use the fold out sofa. Smells of dead fish, they are brand new and apparently all smell the same. They changed ours over straight away. It still smelled.

  • Liked — Great bathroom and kitchen
  • Disliked — Fold out sofa bed

Fabulous hotel, apartment resort, we have stayed in some of the best hotels around the world, but we have never enjoyed a stay so much as we did at the Point Orlando Resort, Universal Blvd, please stay at this hotel you will not regret your choice. Central location but you will need a car to get further a field, we hired a car for the first time in USA we also rented a SATNAV which was invaluable.
We will definately return to The Point Orlando Resort hotel, the staff could not have been more helpful, you will not be dissapointed with this hotel, we stayed in room 1209 on the 12th floor the views were amazing, ask for a room on the upper floors, just book it:), free wi fi in the room.

We stayed for 7 days. Rooms were beautiful and clean bathroom, full kitchen, living room, bedroom felt small. *** BEWARE OF EXTRA HOTEL FEE'S!!! *** SERVICE IS NOT GOOD!! ** Guest services is only 1 person at a time and most of the time they are not sure what they are doing.

Upon our arrival, I noticed that our linens in our bedroom had some strains of hairs which is not mine, because we didn't use it yet nor did we sat on the bed yet... the color is darker than my brunette hair. I asked guest services to changed my linen and they said ****"CHANGE LINEN IS EXTRA CHARGE!!!!*** ***POOR SERVICE***This is just crazy! I finally looked through the closets and found a bedsheet and changed it myself. Toilet ran out, when we returned.. was not replace. we had to look through the cabinets to find 1 toilet paper. they don't replenish it for you. (IS CHANGING TOILET EXTRA COST TO!!???)

Hotel includes free parking, high-speed internet (not wi-fi, only accessible in living room), Refresh service - replacing towels daily, removing trash and making beds only.
ALL THIS IS $9.99 which is hotel fee as an extra cost which is automatically put in your bill. So this is basically is ***NOT FREE*** but is charged to you.

For other Full Maid Cleaning: (optional) vacuum, change linens and do normal hotel stuff but here they charge you for it!!!
Junior/Studio Suite $10 per day
One Bedroom Suite $15 per day
Two Bedroom Stuie $25 per day

This hotel has the potential to be 4 star but its " 3 STAR *.. With this beautiful hotel its a shame. It had sooo much potential. But with their POOOR SERVICE, EXTRA SERVICE CHARGES! they will continue to be 3 star.

Not really a resort, more like renting a condo or an apartment. I would suggest this to my friends, but be very very careful and DON'T EXPECT ANY SERVICE OR HELP FROM GUEST SERVICES!! NO SAFE IN THE ROOM! LOCK EVERYTHING!!!!

For the price, its better if you rent a house with a pool!!! They have a lot in florida that's a compound of house rentals with pool. Same price as this and also not much service. So better that than this! or CHECK OUT HILTON...

One good thing is that "hotel is clean"!!! POOR SERVICE! ... SERVICE IS EQUALLY AS IMPORTANT IN HAVING A HOTEL AND ITS THE ONE THING PEOPLE WILL REMEMBER!!! .. HOW YOU TREAT YOUR GUEST!!!... though I complained about small little things.. but small things add up and its what stays with me.

we found this hotel the best we've ever stayed in, in 5 years of visiting Orlando. From the friendly front desk staff to the extra roomy suites, which had king sized beds, jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower to the fully stocked kitchen (every cooking utensil you will ever need) to your very own washer and dryer (no more communiel laundrys and buying rolls of quarters). We stayed between Dec-09 to Jan-10 the weather wasn't that great but staying in doors with two kids wasn't a problem because they had their own studio apartment interconnected to our suite.Maid service is a daily bed making service, towel change and light clean, if you want an extra clean it's $25.00 but we never needed it as broom and mop are supplied if you need them. On a whole this hotel is only new but will certainly be a hot spot in the years to come, just one black mark was no safes in room but safety deposit boxs are provided at front desk free of charge. we will certainly be back!!
