“Great choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

We stayed here for two nights of our 12 day trip in Florida. We visited Disney a few years ago but wanted to go to Universal and Wet n' Wild this year. We booked this hotel for the three days that we spent in Orlando. Great choice! Nice comfy beds and clean open rooms. There is a pull out bed in the couch and a little kitchenette. I loved that your room is inside of another door leading to the hallway keeping out the noise of rude guests that think of no one but themselves when coming back late or leaving early :( Great location if you are doing Universal and very close to stores and a variety of great restaurants. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Would recommend and stay again!

Let me start this review out by saying we arrived back in Orlando after a 3 day cruise on RCCL's Enchantment of The Seas. We were picked up by our pre-arranged Cocoa Beach Shuttle and arrived around 11:00 am. The front desk staff (I think his name was Derek) was absolutely wonderful. We'd reserved 2 king suites for the 6 of us (at the time of reservation nothing bigger was available), not only did he find us a 2 bedroom suite we were able to check in right away. The suite was wonderful, everything was spotless. The living room & kitchen separated the smaller suite from the larger one. Living room has sleeper sofa & dining table. There are flat screen TV's in all three rooms. The master bath had a jacuzzi tub, huge oversized shower and a full shelved linen closet for storage (I love the baskets made from the towels that held the amenties). There are safe's in both closets, fully stocked kitchen with stacked washer/dryer, the smaller suite had king size bed, sleeper sofa and its own small fridge, sink and microwave oven. The beds were very comfortable, but my daughter who slept on the sofabed complained that the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. We had a nice balcony overlooking the heated pool, jacuzzi and Cabana Bar that served food as well as drinks. The daughter's had quite a few in celebration of a birthday! The front desk staff was very helpful in mapping out the area and calling taxi's when needed. Josh was at our beck and call when we needed his assistance in opening the umbrella at our poolside table and storing our luggage for us prior to us leaving. If you get a chance to meet him, ask him to sing something for you. He's a little shy, but has a beautiful voice!!! Overall this was the perfect ending to our quickie vacation. I'll be sure to return when visiting Orlando and will reccommend to all of my friends.

Room Tip: We were in room 701 which overlooked the pool. You can also see fireworks at night.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your large suite and the high level of cleanliness and amenities available within it. Thank you for also mentioning the exceptional service that you received from several of our employees throughout our stay. We stayed 2 nights at The Point resort, Orlando. The hotel looks good, modern, spacious. There was only one elevator available, our room was on the first floor so we took the stairs. The room was spacious and clean, with a kitchenette and a huge king size bed. Bathroom was clean and spotless. The breakfast area is rather small, but there is a good choice with toasts, eggs, cereals and fresh fruit.

We are also glad that you enjoyed the fresh breakfast buffet served in the lobby. The resort is separated into two towers, and each tower is served by two elevators. We had a one bedroom suite on the 6th floor, the bed was enormous and very comfortable The kitchen was nicely fitted and had the bonus of a washer drier and a dishwasher, the sitting area had another flatscreen TV and was spacious and opened out to a balcony. The pool area was very good but needed a few more parasols. The pool bar was good and served nice bar food. The staff were very good and attentive. We had breakfast in the hotel buffet style and it had eggs cereal, bacon, pancakes, toast, fresh fruit and bagels etc.In all a very pleasant experience.

The Point Orlando Resort was everything we needed. First, it was one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed at. Granted, we were on the top floor but in order for us to even enter our room we had to go through 2 doors that required our key. That buffered the noise from the hall, I'm sure. The kitchenette was adequate. The only thing I wanted was a dish towel to use. I used a bath hand towel instead. The bed was comfortable.
The location was ideal. We were 1 mile from Universal and about 15-20 minutes from Disney Land. Sea World was at the most 15 min. Away although we didn't go there.
There are groceries and restaurants in close proximity. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: 12th floor 1202H

Helen, we appreciate you sharing your experience with the TripAdvisor community. Our location is central to the best parts of Orlando, but still tucked away enough that our guests can experience a tranquil and quiet environment. Thank you for commenting on that. It is great to know that you enjoyed the kitchenette in your studio suite. We are so glad that you would stay again, we look forward to it!

My husband and I booked at "The Point" for the first time in March, without knowing any more about it than what is on its website. Once we had booked, friends of ours decided to join us and book there as well. We were hoping that we had not led our friends astray with the booking. Well. We were all happily surprised to find the most friendly greeting and welcome from a young man, Fabio, who instantly provided us with all the info necessary to begin what became a wonderful stay. The suites were beautiful, efficiently providing everything needed.Every member of the staff we met was super motivated to serve and make us comfortable. We were totally happy that we were fortunate enough to book at such a great vacation spot.We all had a wonderfully happy stay at "ThePoint". We will definitely put it at the top of our list of great vacation spots to stay. Donna and Wayne Thompson.

Spent one night following a cruise. We were given a 2 bedroom suite instead of two separate rooms that we had reserved which was a nice gesture. The room (bed, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas) were clean with the exception of many marks and spots on the walls. While I understand this was done by people who occuiped the rooms, a little paint goes a long way. Pool was great. Very close to the airport, shopping Wet and Wild and Universal studios. We had a late flight and had to pay $20 per hour for late check out. Since it was a Tuesday and not alot of guests we thought they could do better than that. That being said we would return.
