“Central location close to Universal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Great location, close to Universal and the restaurants at international blw. Clean rooms with a small kitchen. Rooms are average and the same with the bathroom. Breakfast was not that good. Pool area is Ok, but the girls in the pool bar provided execellent service...

We are just back from spending the final 6 days of our honeymoon at this resort, and we couldn't have ended it at a better place. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and couldn't have done any more for us. We stayed in a suite, nice king size bed, big couch and big tv with 50+ channels to wind down after a day at a theme park. Free wifi throughout the hotel and pool area was also a big bonus. Free shuttle to universal was ok, a few families didn't book onto the bus resulting in the bus having to do two runs, which meant people that booked the shuttle had to wait for the second bus.

Food at the tiki bar was ok, drinks a reasonable price but it closed a little early. The gym, albeit small, has all the weights and machines required, the threadmill even has a virtual simulator that lets you pretend you are running through forests, mountains etc. On us leaving we were allowed to keep our luggage in the luggage room for 6/7 hours which is also a nice service they offer.

Thanks for a great say, we will be back.

We recently stayed for three nights. Took the children to universal studios. Very good location. Close to Universal studios. Across from Wet N Wild water slides. Great value for your dollar. Staff was very friendly and well informed on the area. Shuttle to Universal worked very well. We chose to take the shuttle in the morning and simply took a cab back to the hotel at our convenience for under 7 dollars.

I stayed here in February. We arrived from Ireland tired but excited to see if the room would be as nice as I hoped. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful (I think one lady was called Rose & a gentleman from Morocco) For the first time ever on check in I took a deep breath and risked being cheeky....I asked for a room on a higher floor & I was sooo happy when she said ok! We had a balcony with a pool view. I loved the balcony - searched for hours on the Internet to find one in Orlando so for me this was a real plus. Huge comfy bed, lots of tv channels. Massive bathroom with jacuzzi bath....perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after walking around the parks. We took the free shuttle to Universal & were glad we did - very quick and convenient. It was a little cold to
use the pool but we enjoyed the poolside bar (only negative experience was the girl serving was really slow and unfriendly) The I trolley is only a few minutes walk around the corner - we didn't have a car but the trolley was very cheap and handy. The separate living room and kitchen was fantastic. I have already recommended this hotel to friends. I would definitely stay here again. (Look forward to having a safe in room next time)

Thank you for staying with us at The Point Orlando Resort. We are so glad to hear that all of our staff members made your stay as wonderful as you had hoped. We are always happy to accommodate any special requests if we are able to. The balconies are a great feature, and you are even able to see the fireworks from nearby theme parks from certain rooms. We are so glad to hear that you had a relaxing experience with us. We are in the process of ordering safes and they should be installed by the next time you return. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 7days/6 nights to visit the parks. Bania assisted us when we checked in and she quickly struck up a strong rapport with us. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and washer/dryer. Bania even called to make sure we found the room to our liking. She gave us great advice about taxi rates, where to eat or get groceries and how the complimentary shuttles to the parks worked. The rest of the staff was just as knowledgeable and happy to help (dealing with our requests quickly and calling us the night before our checkout date to see if we needed help setting up a ride to the airport--very proactive customer service!). However, Bania really stood out to us as she always made time to have a quick chat and laugh with us about our day. The experience was awesome and we are already recommending The Point Orlando to family, friends and co-workers. No doubt: We are going to come back again and next time we're bringing friends!

Room Tip: This is one of the few hotels that had complimentary shuttles to ALL the park resorts (Disney World...

I travel occasionally for work, but most of the time when I travel it's for vacation. My girlfriend and I traveled to Orlando for a week right after the 4th of July weekend, and we had open expectations. Right when we checked-in, Bania (she's awesome) had great energy and welcomed us to the hotel. She was nice, friendly, and genuinely wanted to ensure we enjoyed our time there. She even called our room a few minutes after we had settled in, just to ensure we were good. She also helped us with minor little asks (band-aids, taxi rides, etc.) with lightning speed, and always had a pleasant attitude.

The room (Grand One Bedroom Suite) was amazing as well. Full kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, and great ambiance. Definitely enjoyed the washer/dryer in the room, as well as the ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. The place was spotless, and felt like we were moving into a newly furnished apartment.

The reason why we were traveling was to visit Disney World and Universal Studios, and the FREE (yes free) shuttles were amazing. The staff was quick, painless, and got us on our merry way to the parks. Please always ask the driver when you're being picked up at the park to ensure it is the correct bus to take you home, or you might end up at a different hotel.

This was my first time in Florida, and I'm definitely going to back to this hotel if I decide to go back to Orlando. The staff was phenomenal, the room was pretty much a fancy apartment, and the FREE shuttles to the park are so worth the money.

Please also look for Bania at the front desk and say hi to her, she's super sweet :)

Room Tip: Go for the Grand One Bedroom suite versus the Studio One Bedroom suite, you won't be disappointe...

Kyle, it was our absolute pleasure to serve you during your stay in Orlando. We are delighted to hear that our staff made your stay especially memorable. We aim to provide all of our guests with a unique and personalized experience. It is also great to hear that you enjoyed the use of our shuttle to the theme parks. This is a really convenient option for guests who don't want to deal with traffic or parking. We are honored to be considered your home away from home when in Orlando, and look forward to welcoming you back!

Myself and my family stayed within the point resort for 2 weeks from mid June. Our party of 6 were allocated a double suite which had separate entry doors. Both rooms were excellent and the room with the balcony had great views in the direction of universal and sea world.
The rooms were good and cleaned every day. The bathroom and cooking facilities were all excellent and the bathroom within the larger suite was spacious and had a spa bath and a separate shower room. The kitchens had double fridge / freezer and oven which was great for making breakfast before hitting the parks.
The pool was excellent and was good for a day relaxing after visiting a park or the nearby shopping malls.
When arranging car hire the staff were excellent and only too happy to assist with phoning companies on my behalf which saved any trouble.
All in all the hotel and staff were excellent and at check out the staff highlight areas they are improving such as safe deposit and TV guide. Both aspects would be great as trawling 50 to channels did take time!
A great venue to stay and only 10 mins walk from the nearby international drive and 5 mins walk from wet n wild
