“Excellent resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Our family stayed for 5 nights in this resort. Booked a 3 bedroom/2 bath unit in building One overlooking the pool. Everybody from reception to cleaning people were very friendly and willing to help. The swimming pool is large. We didn't need to rent a car as they have a hotel shuttle going to Disneyworld/Epcot for free. For Universal Studios, Reception suggested to take a cab which was only $40 for 8 people (4 kids) instead of the shuttle which charges $18/head R/T. This is an excellent hotel with excellent staff.

This was our first visit to Orlando and I trusted all the reviews on trip advisor and booked the World Quest Orlando Resort. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which was amazing as the kids each had a room and bathroom to themselves. The master was lovely, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the spa bath was a welcome addition to the end of the day after walking around the parks all day.
We were located in building 6 not very close to the pool or reception, but when you have all the parks to keep you busy you hardly have a chance to miss the pool. We did use it once and it was clean, there was plenty of chairs and bar staff was friendly. Downside was the included breakfast which we only had one day we felt it was a little light on. Yes there was cereal, toast and cakes but I'm not a big bagel, pastries for breakfast kind of girl. Instead we visited the local supermarket for supplies. Which worked well as the apartment was fully appointed with bowls, plates and cutlery, pots and pans that we could make our own breakfast and even dinners.

Location to Disneyland was close and the resort even has a shuttle we did not use as we had our own car. Overall it was a great location and great value.

This was our 5th visit to Worldquest and before arrival we emailed to ask if it was possible to be allocated a room near the pool. The swift reply indicated they would do their best as rooms are allocated on arrival. On arrival we were allocate Block 2 room 202 – which is one of the two blocks adjoining the pool – perfect.

For a little extra, I recommend you book the 3 bed apartment, even if like us you were a family of three. The extra space etc is worth it.

Room 202 like others we have stayed in, is in need to a refurbishment. The dark poorly lit Spanish style with strange furniture (the TV standard looks like a tomb), and the 26 inch old TV make you feel you are back in the 90s or sooner. The rooms are well cleaned and the beds comfortable. Air con and fans in all rooms keep the place cool. The master bed room had a huge walk in shower and Jacuzzi bath.

The new look reception is good, but the breakfast area still too small, so we took ours back to the room. The coffee / tea, fruit, cereals, juices, bagels, toast and cakes are a good start to the day. Staff are very friendly and responsive.

Day one we discovered, as we went to leave for the parks, the safe was not working, 10 minutes later the repair man arrived and 10 minutes later new batteries and repaired. Security at Worldquest is good. It is in a perfect location for Disney, a right and left turn and 3 miles gets you most parks.

Sadly the nearby Publix is closed, but there is a Wallmart 2.1 miles away.

In summary – the price is good, location great, apartments ok and as we have been 5 times (as we are now home) it gets my seal of approval –

PS – there are similar newer places doing the Worldquest style accommodation so shop around in this location.

Room Tip: Block 1 or 2.

We stayed at Worldquest for a week from July 9th. We initially booked this almost 8 months ago and kept a close eyes on the reviews. Let me just start by saying the reviews are true...this place is amazing.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom/2 bath unit in Building 3-3rd floor. We were only a very short walk from the club house, and an even shorter walk to the pool. The unit itself was immaculate. Everything was clean and there are so many amenities and items in the unit, you'll never need anything else. We opted out of any housekeeping options, so we just kept everything clean and washed towels once or twice. The king size room was superb. The bed was large and very comfortable. The twin sinks were very efficient with enough room for "him and her." The large stand up shower and Jacuzzi were also a plus. I was told the other bedrooms/beds were very comfortable as well. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to make breakfast in the mornings, as we chose not to try the continental breakfast, and bought breakfast stuff from the local walmart instead. The living room was large as well as the dining room. The balcony was also very nice. A nice place to relax every night.

The pool was great! it was very large and was always warm. I also liked that it stayed open til 11pm every night. I didn't utilize any other amenities at the resort, but I will say that everyone is very friendly and they don't hesitate to say hello or good morning. One thing I did use was their computers. I had to print boarding passes for our flight home, and it was free to use their computer and printer to print them.

The area around the resort was very easy to navigate. Although the resort is tucked away, there is ample signage to locate it. The entrance to the Disney complex is literally less than 5 minutes away. And there is a 24 hour walmart minutes away also. The only thing is, you have to cross over 2 busy streets in order to get on the road that leads to I-4 or Disney. So I would suggest that if you need to go in that direction, when you get to the front of the resort on International drive make a right...then make your first left on to International avenue. You will approach a light which is World Center drive(536) and you will be able to safely make a left and get to Disney or I-4.

Overall, we had a great experience at this resort, and we will definitely be back next year!

Room Tip: the corner suite in building 3 had a great view of the pool and the lake. best of both worlds!

This resort far surpassed our expectations, given the ver reasonable rate we were charged. We visited Orlando in the first week of July, and stayed at this resort for 5 nights. The resort is kept clean, the gardens are very nice, and the pool area is fantastic. Plenty of towels, chairs at all times. Pool was clean and warm. Hot tub was lovely in the evenings as well.

We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit in building 1. The unit was well equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable. We payed a little extra for daily towel service, but our maid did much more for us than that, including changing bed linens after my daughter had been ill during the night.

The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Check in was fast and easy, and when we had questions or special requests (late check out, extra cleaning) they were very helpful.

The only caution I would give is around the continental breakfast, and this comment is more about the behaviour of some of the guests as opposed to the hotel itself. You really do see the ugly, greedy side of people when things are put out for free, and there appears to be limited quantities. The staff was working very hard to keep things in supply in the breakfast area, but it seemed as though some people had not eaten for days. We saw guests loading up trays from their rooms with food. Line ups for just a muffin, or a glass of juice were very long. For $20 we went to Walmart and bought our own cereal, milk, muffins and juice to avoid the morning chaos in the hotel.

Aside from that one little caution I would highly recommend this resort for a comfortable family home away from home!

Room Tip: Building 1 is the closest to the lobby, with breakfast area, and to the pool.

we stayed at the WorldQuest resort for two weeks while vacationing in Orlando.

The rooms were very nice and family friendly, clean and the provisions for self catering were excellent.

the rooms are quite basic, but very good if you are travelling on a budget. The resort is in a gated community and felt very safe. There are elevators in every building and luggage carts are pretty easy to come by to unload when arrive with all your gear from the airport. we had no problems parking every day close to the apartment.

orldQuest is also a very short drive from all the nearby. You are very close to the local Walmart, IHOP, outlet stores and major roads all within a few minutes drive from the resort. The Staff were also very very helpful with any questions.

Breakfast wasn't so hot for the money and also very crowded. I'd advise to avoid that and instead opt for the local IHOP which is very cheap and amazing food for the money.

The pools are terrific, very clean, awesome spa pool and very safe for kids. Ours had a really good time.

The only downside, is that the single rooms were adjacent to the exterior hallways and the maids seemed to pay no attention to the fact that people were sleeping still at 8am. The kids got frequently woken up from the excessive and frankly avoidable noise and bin emptying.

You also got a lot of knocks on the doors in the morning even though the do not disturb sign was out. It's a minor thing, but I am a big believer that a DND is to be observed at all costs.

Overall a very good stay though.

Room Tip: Get a room further from the elevators. Make sure you tell the front desk that you only want towels a...

Dear David H,

Thank you for your feedback on your stay with us last year.. I am glad to read that your overall stay was very good. You mentioned that housekeeping did not pay attention to the DND sign on your door, and I would like to apologize for that. I will continue to discuss reviews such as yours with my staff, so they have a better awareness and are constantly improving.

Again, thank you for your input.

Sincerely,

Arrived after a 30 houers travel from Norway due to delay in Amsterdam we missed the first night in a prebooked and payed 4 days stay. We and the agent called the hotel to inform them more than 18 hours uppon planned arrivel. Tiered and with jet leg 2 young unprofessipnal receptionst started to say that the hotell considered this as now show. We were very disappointed over the treatment bur met the next day a controller Kitamura who was friendly and understood our situation, thanks. Appartments are great, Big, with all that you need. Sadly everything is serves with plastic and gives the place a reduced quality, the same as we felt from more of the Staff, no pride of haveing a job and no good representaion of the hotell eccept Mr. Kitamura. Sorry but you did not measure up and we will next time look for a another place to stay

Room Tip: Building 1-3 is close to pool. Motorway close to buildings.
