“great place for a family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2011

World Quest was very accommodating. We missed our flight due to weather so I called to let them know we would be late (next day) and when we arrived the next day and they had a room (condo) available for us and did not charge us for the night before. The room was great and very spacious and clean. We have 4 kids so it i was very nice they each had a place to sleep - not on a pullout. The pool was great - good place for small children.

We booked in March with a package deal including Universal tickets and it was well worth the money! It was great having room to spread out and a kitchen to use when we wanted. Everything was clean and comfortable. We liked the security of having to show a room key to enter the resort. My kids had never seen such a big pool and had a great time swimming. The screened in porch was a plus! I loved having a washer and dryer in the room, we didn't have to pack as many clothes as we usually do on our trips! Even with the cleaning fee at checkout it was a great value and we loved our stay!

We booked this condo hotel after viewing pictures and the tour online. I did not check any reviews at all. We were concerned that once we got to the hotel that we would be disappointed because the hotel presented itself as too good to be true, as has happened to us a number of times at other hotels. We could not have been more wrong. This place is beautiful. We love the Mediterrean style buildings, the colors used throughout our unit. The furniture was attractive and firm (no sinking feeling here), the kitchen more than met our needs (we cooked breakfast and dinner on most nights we were there. Our master bedroom and bath was beautiful and the kids (while they had to share the two other bedrooms) spent alot of time in their rooms when we were not doing something or going somewhere. Finally, while we cooked our breakfast, some of our kids opted for the continental breakfast in the clubhouse - they loved it and the spread/amount of food was impressive. The hotel did not go cheap on the free breakfast.

The pool was fantastic. It is a 10,000 square foot pool. It was never crowded and other guests were considerate. The pool furniture was plentiful and we never had any problems getting loungers for the six of us. The only regret we have is that we did not use it often enough. The landscaping around the pool and the buildings was very attractive and well maintained. The hotel management had plenty of employees makng sure that the property looked beautiful.

This was our return to Orlando after a 6 year hiatus and we wanted our children (and ourselves) to get to Disney one more time. We have stayed at the Polynesian (great but prohibitive) and at the Nick Hotel (which is about a half mile from World Quest ). Never again will I pay hotel rates for one room and one bathroom. So long as this place is around, we will go there.

We even had some excitement on our last night. We had just returned from Animal Kingdom and were relaxing when an electrical storm came to our area. Lightning and thunder struck at the same time and our son ran out of his bedroom to tell us that there was fire (not on hotel property) but just outside the parking lot area in an wooded area. I called the front desk and then saw her running to the area of the fire. The fire department (about 3 fire trucks came) was there in about 10 minutes and took care of the fire. We had to evacuate our building (Building 2) but were allowed back in after an hour or so.

Overall, we still talk about World Quest and how much we like our stay there. I have offered to take the family back there if we skip our trip out west. So far no takers but I have 3 more weeks to make it happen (I already have one convert to my cause).

The first impression I got when I arrived at Worldquest Resort was: Wow! What a great place to stay. The grounds are amazing, well mantained. We were assigned a very nice 3-bedroom room, quiet and with a wonderful view. The rooms are spacious, you feel just like home!
The only complaint we have about worldquest is: 1) they charge you for cleaning; 2) the breakfast is very modest and is offered only until 9:30.
If you book a hotel, what you expect, at least is cleaning service. Not only they don't provide that (only removing your trash, what is done, but not very effeciently, and that's all), but they charge you an expensive amount to have your towels changed and your room cleaned. Not only that, they do not refill soaps and toilletries. Be prepared to bring them from home, or be prepared to buy some at Orlando once you arrive because the
soap they provide you with lasts 1 day.
And the breakfast, well.. it's very modest. Don't expect much here. And often very crowded. And in my opinion, should last at least half an hour longer. You're on vacation, after all!
All things considered, we loved the hotel and its ground, but expected more when it comes to service. If you overlook that, surely you'll have a pleasant stay!

Dear Sitraveler,

Thank you for your comments. I apologize if we didn't inform you of our housekeeping options prior to your visit with us. We offer three different housekeeping options, and our guests can select the option that best fits their individual needs. This allows us to keep our room rates lower, and you only pay for the services you choose. Thank you for your input, and I will look at our website and ensure it properly reflects these services.

Respectfully,
Tim Gross

Great Resort! Tucked away into a nice quiet and private area, yet only 2 miles from Disney. All parks were very easy to get to from this resort.

The resort was very nice and clean. Condo like setting made our vacation very comfortable and felt like home away from home.

The staff is very friendly and willing to help! Breakfast staff was very attentive and did a great job making sure tables stayed clean, trash emptied and food filled.

We definitely recommend this resort and will definitely be back next time we go to Disney!

We spent 4 days at World Quest in Orlanda. The location was great - just a mile from Disney. We stayed in Building 7, condo 102. I had read where others had described the space but I was still shocked at the large rooms. The master bath was very large and the 2nd bathroom was good. The condo was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a three bedroom condo with a king bed in the master, 2 twins in the 2nd room and a queen bed in the 3rd bedroom. The swimming pool was nice but it was a fairly long walk from our condo so if you have little children, you would need one closer to the pool area.

We did experience a few problems: 1) we had to constantly call and ask for towels; we ran out of toilet paper and had to run down a housekeeper to get it; 2) the furniture in the living room was not comfortable like you would expect-there was a formal, stiff plastic/leather couch and one "fancy" chair; the drapes were very formal; 3) the kitchen was poorly stocked - one frying pan that looked like it came from the Dollar Store, a toaster that did not work, one or two bowls, and very few utensils to cook with; 4) very poor lighting in the living and eating area - three track lights and 2 were burned out. There were no replacement bulbs and no extra blankets or bedding in the condo.
However, I would go back to this place. It is much better than the Disney properties.

Room Tip: Make sure the pool is closer if you have children

This condo was totally more than I expected. Absolutely beautiful and spotless. Very spacious. Large master bedroom with luxurious master bath. Jetted tub/shower double sinks. 2nd bedroom on other side of condo for privacy with another full bath. Kitchen new/spotless. Very nicely decorated. Screened in porch with pool view. Really felt we were in paradise. Parks are all 1-3miles from condo. Walmart/Walgreen numerous restaurants and outlets literally a mile away. We saw pictures on Expedia and when we went inside we were speechless. Nicest place we ever stayed. Staff was all friendly. Had several requests and they all responded immediately. Gave us whatever we asked for. Wish pool stayed open past 11pm. Got home late every nite from parks. Go to walmart and stock the fridge, you'll save alot of money. Convenient store is very small and very high priced but with all of the stores nearby you dont have to go in there. Definately recomment WorldQuest, I wont stay anywhere else again

Room Tip: ask for room near pool
