“A good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

If you like diving and like Disney, this is a great activity. You get to jump into a huge tank with sharks, rays, and sea turtles and then spend 40 minutes swimming around. The animals were a great deal of fun to see, but for me, the real joy was the kids on the other side of the glass wall. It was such a cool experience to swim over the classy restaurant and distract kids who were eating with their parents - or better than that - play "rock paper scissors" with them while they were at the dinner table. The only drawback to the whole experience was the size of our group. Nineteen diving guests was just too many. The underwater world was too crowded and a lot of the guests just were not very good divers so it was common to get fins in the face along the way.

“Great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

This is a great dive. Everything is taken care of for you when you arrive (equipment). You take a short tour of the facilities before you suit up and dive the tank. There is a videographer that will be diving with you that is making a video of the dive. You also get to interact with the diners at the Coral Reef restaurant as well as people who are visiting the aquarium. If you have family/friends who will be watching you dive, be sure to let the videographer know before the dive so they can be in the movie as well. The movie is an extra $35, but it is a great souvenir.

“Take the Plunge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This is the second aquarium dive I have made. I also did the Georgia Aquarium. The dive starts off with a bit of a tour and some safety information. You can then suit up. This is pure concierge diving. You don't need to bring anything. They will allow you to bring your own mask and dive watch, but nothing else. You are able to swim in about 3/4 of the tank. The other quarter is reserved for the dolphins which you are not permitted to interact with. There are turtles, sharks, stingrays and skates. But the best interaction is with the kids on the other side that are watching you either at the exhibit or in the restaurant. You really are part of the entertainment. I enjoyed that the most. Disney provides a videographer and for $30 more you get a CD of your dive. It is well worth it. There are 4 dive masters and only about 12-15 divers, so this is a great first dive for kids. The vis is over 200 feet, as you might expect and the temp of the water is a perfect 75 degrees. It was a good time and am glad that I did it, but the Georgia Aquarium has this beat, maybe just due its size or the fact that they have whale sharks and Disney doesn't.. Take the plunge, you will be glad you did.

“Great time”

You can snorkel or scuba dive in the aquarium, a great opportunity to dive with more fish types, including sharks and sea turtles.

“Fun Fun Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Like to do something a little different on your vacation? Than Divequest is for you. An informal meeting outside of Epcot guest services and away you go. Note: There are no signs to let you know you are at the right place, but you will probably see others looking confused...they are there for the tour too. A behind the scenes tour was educational and fun. (ask your instructor about the 2 strike sharks) But the highlight is a 40-45 minute snorkel/dive in the aquarium. You might use extra oxygen when you first spot a shark swimming beneath you but thats ok...its safe and a thrill of a lifetime. If you have ever been to an aquarium and waved to the divers feeding/cleaning inside the tank... this is your opportunity to be that diver. Have fun and don't miss this experience.
