Owner description: "Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, one of 2 Water Parks in Walt Disney World Resort, features one of the world's tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, as well as slides and rides for the whole family—like a kid-sized, snow-castle fountain play area with scaled-down versions of the more thrilling attractions. It's easy to be cool while having fun in the sun at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park! While the park looks like a frosty ski resort—complete with a functioning Chair Lift, it's actually an action-packed water wonderland with exciting waterslides and attractions for the whole family.

“They have short slides for my young...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2010

They have short slides for my young child. The only thing is that they closed at 5 pm when we were there last September 2010 and we were not told when we bought the tickets and arrived there after 12 noon.

“Perfect way to spend a hot sunny day! Better than Typhoon Lagoon.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2010

We went here about 2 weeks after Typhoon Lagoon and I say Blizzard Beach is 10 times better! The only thing better at Typhoon Lagoon was the awesome wave pool. Blizzard Beach has a joke of a wave pool. Not sure how they can get away with calling it a wave pool The lazy river is boring and not relaxing as it was so crowded and loud with kids screaming and pushing. The rides are fantastic. Much more wild and longer than Typhoon. Some of the lines were really long.. about 30 minutes, while other were almost nonexistent. Overall it a great park and I highly recommend it. BUY THE TICKETS FROM AN ONLINE BROKER NOT AT THE GATE. MUCH CHEAPER!!!!

“Blizzard Beach-Long Lines”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2010

Blizzard Beach will not disappoint as it is clean, well-maintained and has lots of shady areas for those attempting to avoid the hot Florida sun. While the three teens in our party loved Summit Plummet and Slush Gusher, they didn't enjoy the long lines and they thought the waves in Melt-Away Bay were a little too small for teens aged 13, 16 & 16.

“Polar Patios worked for our family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2010

Disney's new polar patios were wonderful. Costly yes, but worth it for two family who split the cost. First, you get unlimited towels...the kids go through a lot. There is also a cooler with unlimited water plus if you need to place something of your own (we had leftovers from lunch) the cooler is there. The locker is located right there, no looking for your locker among the other hundred out there. The furniture is much better than the stuff around the pool plus they have pads. Each person gets an unlimited refill cup. We were in close walking distance to the bathrooms, drink refill stations and the chairlift. The attendant took your order and delivered your food...no standing in line. Our polar patio was shaded, plus there was an umbrella. Very close to one of the entrances of the lazy river that circles the park. The floor of the patio is raised fake wood (?) so no stomping around in sand.
There were six of us...two adults and four kids. Each kid rode the rides numerous times and had their own favorite. Watch out for the wedgies on the summit plummet and slush gusher.
