Owner description: "Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, one of 2 Water Parks in Walt Disney World Resort, features one of the world's tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, as well as slides and rides for the whole family—like a kid-sized, snow-castle fountain play area with scaled-down versions of the more thrilling attractions. It's easy to be cool while having fun in the sun at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park! While the park looks like a frosty ski resort—complete with a functioning Chair Lift, it's actually an action-packed water wonderland with exciting waterslides and attractions for the whole family.

“Perfect for Toddlers/Preschoolers”

We had the most fun at Blizzard Beach. Last May we took our two sons to Disney for the first time, ages 2 and 3. The weather was especially warm with record breaking temps. The parks were hot, overcrowded and overwhelming for the boys. Blizzard Beach was the one day that we can honestly say made the trip worth it.
The Lazy River goes all the way around the entire park. We just hopped in and relaxed as we traveled around, checked out the scenery, and snuggled with the kids who were truly comfortable in a park for the first time. MUCH more fun than walking in the heat. Makes me wish MK or Epcot had lazy rivers ;-) They had a family slide, that the whole family could travel down, even our littlest. (He got tossed around so much it was not his favorite though) They also had tube slides in the toddler area that were smaller versions of bigger water slides and our 3 year old felt so awesome he could go on them by himself. (There are lifeguards at the top and bottom to help them on and off, and also the type of slide made it easy to help them if they fell off)
It was fun and a nice break from the heat and the hustle of the parks.

“Lots of fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Our grankids, ages 10 and 12, enjoyed Blizzard Beach almost as much as they loved the Typhoon Lagoon when we visited Orlando 2 years ago. It was so hot that the water parks really helped us survive the heat in Orlando in June.

“Best waterpark in Orlando”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

We love visiting Blizzard Beach. If you're staying at a Disney hotel, odds are you have a bit of a mini waterpark at your hotel. But if you're not Blizzard Beach is great. It's themed really well with the melting ski resort, chairlifts and sledding racers. There's a lot do here, I feel like this park has so many rides, you'll stay busy all day. The lazy river is great, and they have many fun slide and activities. It has a great wave pool and an awesome sandy beach area for lounging.
There's a treat we typically all split amongst the family called "The Garbage Pail"...it doesn't sound appetizing, but what it is a sand castle buckets filled with ice cream, waffle cone pieces, sprinkles, caramel, hot fudge, strawberries and really just about anything you can think to put in an ice cream sundae, all topped with whipped cream. It's truly great.
I think Blizzard beach beats out Typhoon Lagoon, depsite some of it's new additions.
