I have to begin by telling everyone I have been coming to Gator land since the early 60's when I was a child. Back then you could buy a baby gator for a couple of dollars and take it home. While those days are long gone and now it is not legal to own a gator without a permit, somehow gator land has survived in a town with mega-attractions. This is old time Florida and is not some super corporate owned attraction. If you want to see a lot of gators, snakes and other Florida critters this is the place to come. You can even zip line over some big ole boys. I will tell you that if you don't like the heat save your trip until the fall, it is very hot and there are not many air conditioned areas. It's good for a day trip and you can even have your picture taken with a gator(mouth safely taped shut) or a large snake. Show that photo to your Yankee neighbors and you will be an instant hit !!
