Old style Florida Family attraction makes a fun alternative to Mouse Land! Zip Line adventure added thrill for my teen daughters. A place my family goes back to every Florida vacation we take.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

Had some time to spare, and I really wanted to see the two Florida panthers. What a nice surprise waited for me. Lots of gators of course, but there's a lot more. There's a nice water play area for kids, and they make the feeding demos fun too.
The panthers had a nice enclosure, much better than want they had before they came here. The train ride costs 2.00, and its great for an overview of the park, as well as fun. You can ride it all day.
There are signs describing everything, and in folky humorous ways. The gator pond is awesome, tons of birds right at eye level. Young birds too, herons, egrets, and cormorants. Excellent observation tower! Different types of crocs from all over the world-I mean who knew there are Cuban crocs that can jump 6 feet? Last but not least, the swamp walk. That was the best surprise, the cypress trees are humongous.
Lots of benches to rest on, and a nice militarymdosvount. It gets hot, so bring water, or try the food stands. This was a lot of fun!

Being from the north this experience was like no other, the feeding shows were funny, the wrestling shows were amazing and the whole time was a fun and relaxing day.

“A well kept secret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This was an add on to a trip that was awful. Ran the Disney marathon only to put my 7 year old in the local hospital for pneumonia, and my niece was also admitted for a severe illness, same hospial, same time. so when everyone was out, we decided to check out Gatorland. My mother in law had been there in the 50's. It was spectacular. They have done a fantastic job keeping with the natural Florida feel, the gators are up close. The shows are interactive and great for all ages. The grounds are peaceful, lots of boardwalks around natural setting, highly recomend, its worth the trip
