This was my third year at Halloween Horror Nights. The botttom line is that there were too many people and Too much walking and standing involved. I had to wait an hour on a ride which in the last two years I just walked right through. Too many people indeed. Seven hours wasn't long enough to see everything that I wanted to see. Because of the long lines and hours of waiting to get on a ride or go through a haunted house-it was kind of upsetting. Having both parks open was too much. And this year it wasn't as scary as the last two. The corn field zone was cool but too short. I liked it better when I was constantly surrounded by monsters not just in zones. Another thing they had one of my favorite rides closed. That was indeed disappointing. My favorite devil, the one with the muscles wasn't there this year like usual. If he was there I couldn't tell from all the people all over. It was like a sea of people. I got split up from my group a couple times because of people pushing and cutting in front me. It felt like I was at a concert. I did love the attension vampires got though. I was glad to see that they were included this year. I hope they continue that. I think they should bring the scare back, limit tickets and keep it to just the island. I do want to go back next year. And If next year both parks are open I'll probably not go. Less people and more scare like last year. That is the way to go

I used to make a special trip to go to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights every year. I looked forward to it every year! It was great! We got sooo scared!!!
Welll..... that was before they got so greedy that it comPLETELY ruined the event. I went with a bunch of friends (it's not cheap) and it was AWful! There are SOOO MANY PEOPLE there now that there is NO WAY you could get scared...because the "creatures" can't even GET to you. Most of the time we didn't even know there was anyone there until we passed them, because again--- THERE WERE TOO MANY PEOPLE to see over them! We left after an hour and a half!!!! What easy money for Universal! Charge a bunch of money.... cram as many people into the park as you possibly can.... piss them off, and make them leave.... so you can let more people in. Genious. Do Yourself a Favor: Save the money and just imagine it. I promise it'll be way better in your head than it could ever be now. It's ruined. It's a waste. It was such a good idea.
That's what Corporate does. Well, ...greedy corporate. But I guess that's being redundant. Just don't go.

Well let me start off by saying this was my very first time going to Halloween Horror nights at Universal Studios and Island of Adventure in Orlando,Fl. And although it was a saturday night 10/09/04 to be exact it was HORRIBLE and I don't mean horrible good either. After spending 30 minutes to into parking (which was free) we were siked up and ready for a good time. Making our way down City Walk things were looking good, crowded but not to bad through here. I'f you want to drink ( Jello shots, beer, ect) than they will start you out right here at City Walk. Going in was not to bad 5 min to through gate and 2-3 to get into through the metal detectors. This is where things go downhill. There are employees dressed up and they do jump out and scare you until you at the break on the path to either go left or right. It was at this point that we realized that Universal had successfully over-sold an event it was literally shoulder to shoulder. We went left walked with the herd of people till we came to a point that a guy on a mega-phone was telling folks that there was nothing down here except Bill and Teds show as we managed to get turned around we locate a shop to get a map of events and haunted houses ofcourse bumping into masses of people to get into the shop. Looking at the map we all decide to head back to see the cornfield (scare zone) or so we thought. Navigating to the cornfeild we find a lighted sign telling the different wait times for each haunted house min wait time was 1 hour!! with some even at 120 min. Thats 2 friggin hours of waiting..At this point we decide to atleast keep going the corn field. Once again this was a shoulder to shoulder walk through a scare zone yet there was so many people they could not even scare anyone since if they did it would have caused alot of people to become trampled upon. Not to mention the possibility of fights since we are talking about huge crowds most of whom are drinking... It was at this time we decided to leave after only an hour and a half with most of this time spent so clumped up together there was no such thing as personal space. I suppose we could have spent the extra $35 dollars each and got the express pass but at 5 people were talking an extra $175 DOLLARS!!!! on top of what we done spent to get inside the park...All in all let me save you the aggavation of being horded into an oversold event. True they call a 2 park event but in my own personal opinion this is only due to the fact they can get more people into it since many routes that are normally open during daytime hrs were not open during the night..I sure hope they see the error of there ways on this one.....ummm probably not since its all about the $$

Universal Studios Florida is without a doubt, the best movie theme park in the World!

The park itself is a beautiful place to visit. Extremely detailed sets immerse you in such American locations as New York, San Francisco, New England, Hollywood, and the World's Expo. You'll want to bring your camera, because the themeing is superb!

The park has a wonderful atmosphere. Great music fills the air, from John Williams' magical movie themes, to fun pop music by the likes of Elton John. Walking along, you'll want to sing and dance!

But the rides are what truly make this park worth visiting. Each attraction is innovative, unique, entertaining, and mind-blowing. Disney have long been at the cutting-edge of theme park attractions, but Universal have caught up and are fast over-taking them!

DO NOT MISS... Revenge of the Mummy, Twister, Terminator 2 3D, and Men In Black Alien Attack.

Visited Universal Studios thrid week of August '04 with a 5 park flexticket as a single mother with two teenagers. We loved every second of every ride. The Mummy, an indoor rollercoaster, is a must tho I confess I closed my eyes many times - which has been immortalised on a key ring! Terminator 2 was absolutely fantastic - special effects from the screen and your chairs! Superman was a favourite simulator ride of my 15 year old daughter and we rode Men In Black several times at the request of my 18 year old son. Jaws was brilliant as our guide was very entertaining, Twister was interesting but too short as was earthquake. Back to the Future was a great simulator ride for everyone. Waiting times were between 15 minutes and 25 which was nothing, and the air cooling systems for the queues were great. Food in the diners was fantastic This was our first time to UO and although it was hot and humid it didn't matter because the rides were so wonderious. We also visited Islands of Advenute where my teenagers experienced every gut wrenching roller coaster. I bought an Express Pass here to avoid queuing in the heat, but we didn't readlly need it because the queues were quite short. We had the most the amazing sandwiches and deserts at the Hard Rock Cafe which, even my son, a typical teenage gannet, could not finish much to his dismay. If you've never been to Universal Studios, go there, personally I think it's even more fun for adults than teenagers!
