“Florida Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015 NEW

We had a wonderful time in both Universal parks. The staff were all very nice, informative and pleasant. The park was clean. Harry Potter attractions were the best. I would definitely recommend visiting both parks. We did not take advantage of City Walk this visit.

“Make sure you get Express passes to avoid the queues”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015 NEW

Armed with our Express passes we set off for Universal and opted for preferred parking so that you park closer to Citywalk and the entrance to Universal. We hired a locker for the day and deposited all of our non essentials so we weren't weighed down throughout the day.

We entered 'production Central' and using our Express passes skipped the queue and went into the 'despicable me - Minion mayhem' ride, which is a simulated ride (my wife had a stationary seat as she gets motion sickness in simulated rides). Following this our daughter and me did the Simpsons ride, which is another simulated ride but with no stationary seats so my wife sat this one out, as she did with the 'Men in Black' ride. Time for lunch so we left 'World Expo' and headed towards 'San Francisco' and Lombard's Seafood Grill.

After lunch and again using our Express passes we skipped the line and went to the front of 'Disaster - a film starring you', which was great fun especially as I was picked to be one of the extras in the film.

After this we walked to 'production Central' and again used our Express passes to skip the lines at the Shrek 4D film, which is hysterical, then walked back to 'San Francisco' for 'Beetlejuice's Graveyard revue' which was okay but nothing special.

We then headed towards the 'ET adventure on the other side of the lake picking up the superstar parade along the way.

Then after some retail therapy we headed out of Universal Studios into Universal Boulevard to the world's largest Hard Rock cafe for dinner ahead of the 'Blue Man' show at 8pm, which was a fantastic must see show made even better by paying extra for the Bluephoria VIP Lounge.

“Disappointing, waste of time and money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015 NEW

After visiting this park for the first time, I felt like the Harry Potter addition may be Universal's desparate need for tourist. Mind you, people were there (spring break time of year). Harry Potter/Diagon Alley was truly mostly (90%?) about overpriced shops filled with cheap quality items one could likely buy online much cheaper.
Universal's website fails to provide enough detail information about the rides and attractions for the parks. We waited in long, long lines for rides. We were only able to ride six rides for the day. It is a long wait for a very short amount of entertainment time.
When rides break down, they do not offer any type of get in first when the ride is up and running again. Back to the long wait line again. Over $100 dollars per person for six rides. That is more than $17 per ride.
There are no information booths/kiosk to get any help. I heard a person say, "This isn't Disney World, we don't have to be nice." There were visitors and staff standing near us so I do not know who said it. And that is how it felt most of the day.
Food is very costly and very little gluten and allergen free food options available.
My suggestion to Universal...take some lessons from Disney. Disney is an entertainment location I will return to whenever I get the opportunity. Universal...one and done.

“express pass worth every cent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2015 NEW

We visited during Easter Break. The park was so crowded that it would have been hard to ride everything without the express pass.
