“Busy but enjoyable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

Liked the selection of rides but hated the queues. Went really early in the morning to try to avoid this as much as possible and only really lasted to lunchtime because of the heat. Magical experience for kids and adults alike though. Particularly like despicable me, simpsons and transformers ride.

“Express Pass & Premium Parking Worth It”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

Universal Studios is fun for everyone -- plenty of big coasters for the adventurous, and plenty for those who like smaller thrills. Since we went in July, we bought the Unlimited Express Pass. Although it doubled the price of each daily ticket, it is so worth it during peak season. Rides like Despicable Me, Transformers, and The Hulk were 1-2 hours (Despicable Me was the longest, never much below 2 hours). Express Pass holders waited no more than 10 minutes or so, 25 for Despicable Me. We wouldn't have experienced very much in one day if we didn't have them. Express Pass is not accepted on the Harry Potter castle ride, but we caught it at a 45 minute wait -- check times with the Undercover Tourist App on your phone. Also, premium parking for $6 extra is the best money spent all day. We parked in the garage right at the entrance, in the shade, so our car didn't get as hot. We were close enough to pack a lunch & eat in the car without losing too much park time.

“Islands of Adventure is a must!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

The day we visited Universal Studios 4-5 rides/shows were shut down most of the day with no explanations given. It was a very disappointing day after having spent the previous day at Islands of Adventure. If you have to chose one park to go to definitely choose Islands of Adventure!!! S

“Despicable Me”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

Have just spent another great day at Universal Orlando but why does Universal insist on treating its guest like Minions. Much as I love the park and think its great value for money something needs to done with the Despicable Me ride. An advertised wait time of 50 mins was really 90 mins and the lack of effort to make this a pleasant experience is simply unbelievable. This is without doubt the worst theme park ride wait in Florida. Its an open sided cattle shed with fans that are so noisy you cant even hear the so called TV entertainment. If this was a ride that did not normally have long waits one might excuse it but its always busy (wait time at we left the park 2 HOURS). COME ON UNIVERSAL YOU SHOULD AND MUST DO BETTER

“Universal Once and Never Again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We decided, instead of visiting D.W., to check out Universal Studios. We knew, ahead of time, about the height requirements of the rides and U.S. was better suited to us rather than Islands of Adventure. Pros: The employees, such as Don (security) and Eric (transformer's ride) were courteous and helpful. The Mummy ride was detailed and exciting. I was able wait less as a "single rider".

Cons: We fully realized how expansive the walk from the bus depot to the entrance of Universal. I wish there was a way to "by-pass" City Walk...especially in the hot sun of Florida. It appears to be such a scam to have to purchase another ticket to "fast pass" through the ride lines...when this feature is included in a disney ticket and sea world ticket . We knew that ride lines would be long in July. However, Universal should have had features to entertain you and keep you cool as you wait. There is no shade here...neither man-made created nor foliage. There were too many motion/virtual simulator rides given the exorbitant amount of money paid.
