“Quirky and off the beaten path”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

Had a blast here when we went! Staff was very nice. The food at the Boat in the Moat was fantastic, we had the lasagna and chicken pot pie. Enjoyed the tour and walked around the grounds at our leisure. Great place for families if you are trying to get away from the commercialism of Disney.

“Great Way To Spend An Afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

Mr. Solomon is a delight! He is an incredible artist, well versed in industrial art, painting, and tongue-in-cheek humor. Such an eclectic place, from the construction of the castle and its reason for being to the art itself to dining in The Boat In The Moat restaurant. The menu selections are all homemade. I highly recommend the spinach casserole and the walnut pie. Ice cold beer, too! I must say a special thank you to Jerry, our tour guide, who also has a great sense of fun as well as a kind heart. He made sure that my 84 year old mom was able to maneuver the steps on a sharp turn, and offered her a chair in case she was getting tired.

Solomon's Castle is in the middle of nowhere but it is so worth the trip. My one regret is that we didn't experience the place sooner because we will return when it is open again in September. i can't wait to see the new artwork!

“"VEERRYYY INTEERRESTIING!"”

Wonderful out of the way place. All very interesting. Price was real resonable. Tour takes anywheres from 30 to 45 minutes. But, be aware it is closed July, August and September.

“Such a clever place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2012

What a sense of humor the artist has, lots of tongue in cheek art.
Such as a "plain wall" covered with planing tools. Sculptures made out of motorcycle and car parts. Just an interesting, really fun trip.

“Very unique!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2012 via mobile

Mr. Solomon creates some very unique pieces. If your in the area it's definately worth stopping by. Didn't eat at a meal at the restaraunt but had a slice of walnut pie and it was delicious!!
