The Hilton Ocala experience is one that keeps us coming back again and again. It has the warm atmosphere of a B&B. We have stayed there at least 5 times over the past 3 years and it seems to get better every time.
We enjoyed wonderful down pillows with soft sheets and a down mattress top that gave us a great night's sleep. Our room was exceptionally clean and attractive with granite counters on the mini bar and in the bath. The Executive Level has a bar and hor d'oeuvres every evening and fresk baked cookies later.
The staff seems to remain the same year after year, which says a lot for the management of this Hilton. They are gracious and go out of their way to be helpful. We arrived late one evening after a long drive and had our expensive mountain bikes with us. The valet saw us heading to our room with them and offerred to lock the bikes in the office overnight so we wouldn't have to carry them up and down in the elevator.
The pool area is expansive and we have enjoyed our own little luncheons and cocktails in the gazebo situiated in the large lawn behind the Hilton. The gazebo is also used for weddings.
A short walk from the patio and gazebo is the small barn and pasture and the Clydesdale, Buddy. He is a huge but gentle creatrure. It is amazing to watch him interract with children.
Our experience with the restaurant, "Arthurs" is somewhat mixed. Have had some very good meals and good wait staff, and some not so good. But it is certainly more convenient than fighting the bumper to bumper traffic and the extended waits for any of the chain restaurants that line the strip.
All in all I would definitely rate this the #1 hotel in the Ocala area.

My Husband and I went for the Food and Wine Escape after we got married. We had a wonderful time , we stayed on the Exectutive Floor and were delighted. The room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and the bed was so plush you just melted in. The Thoroughbred louge was wonderful with it's complimentary cocktails and appetizers. The Chocolate fountain was decadent and the staff was very courteous and helpful. We truly enjoyed spending time with Buddy he is a beautiful, friendly Clydesdale we loved giving him his cookies. We look foward to another visit soon. It was a delight

Hello,
the Hilton Hotel is from the rooms a quite hotel. The rooms a large enough and clean. The equimpent in the bathroom are organized with glasses and a place to put the soap away.
What is missing is a small fridge.
The staff tries to do whatever is needed.
The Arthur restaurant I got two times dissapointed and one time it was good. But if you are in Ocala go to Ipanema very good restaurant with a fair price.

The hotel has a large pool, a horse in front of it. The gym is from my point of view for this kind of hotel to small.
I propably stay again.

I stayed here as part of a road trip.
Check in was good. The front desk tried to accomodate me in giving me a quiet room on a college football weekend. This was much appreciated.
The room had obviously been recently remodeled. The bed was fantastic- better than Westin, with excellent pillows. They also had a clean white duvet.
The room was painted a nice shade of sage, to give a calm atmosphere.
The bathroom was remodeled in a modern style, but unlike some remodels, had been well thought out with ample counter space and storage-- and a lighted magnifying mirror. Toiletries were nice (La Source).
The one thing that was mystfying was that such a new remodel had so many stains on the carpet.
Room service was fine both as far as service and food. The lady who delivered the food was very nice.
I was traveling with a dog, and the pet fee is a rather high $49.00. They give you a "complimentary" pet kit-- the size of a suitcase, and pretty unnecessary. There are certain designated pet rooms near the elevator, and they do not allow pets on the Executive Floor, which was a disappointment.
As others have noted, the price is a bit high here. Even so, I would probably return as I think this is probably the best hotel in the area.

The Hilton is a beautiful hotel, especially if you are needing to book a function such as a reception. While I agree with the other comments, it should be noted that this is an extremely expensive hotel. The rates ran from $169 to over $200, depending on the date of travel.

I also do not care for the attitude of some of the staff. The front desk seemed indifferent and the bartender, a young male, said he knew how to make the drink I'd ordered but when it arrived, it was quite different than the standard recipe, and not very good. He served the drink and then retreated to the other end of the bar to continue chatting with friends. He never returned. Another bartender, who must have sensed my frustration, came to my rescue and took my second order when I was ready.

Their food is excellent. While many hotels get a bad rap for their restaurants, we love the Hilton dining room and have always gotten excellent food and service. It's elegant and has been a good place to celebrate special occasions.
