I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is located right off I-75 so I expected to hear lots of noise from the road; I did not! The hotel is pet friendly and these rooms are located near the back door so you can easily walk your dogs without encountering/bothering other guests. The grassy area is very nice though there is not a clean-up station with supplies available. The rooms are big with new furnishings, comfortable beds, and a fridge and microwave. The room was very humid though, despite the dehumidifier in the room, and it never felt cool at all. I was constantly turning the a/c down to no avail. The big negative here is that you can hear every door shut (they actually slam on their own) and being near the back door, you could hear that every time it shut as well. The staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming. Menus for local restaurants are available from the front desk and the restaurants are close by. Breakfast was very good and provided the basics plus waffles that you make yourself. This hotel is right off I-75, next door to the the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing and behind a Sonny's BBQ (great food), so it's location is ideal for travelers passing through. The price was decent but ended up being more than I would pay again once the pet fee and taxes were applied.
