“Found our new favorite place !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

Happened upon this place while at a local bookstore. Our waitress was so friendly and informative !! And the prices were so reasonable! And the food was soooo fresh and delicious!! Great atmosphere too ! And the owners were so friendly and down to earth. We felt like we were at a friend's house. We are hooked!

“Good, but better across the street”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013 via mobile

Ate lunch here after local write up after big move to new digs on the main drag of Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala. Decor was quaint, looking like someone's backyard setup including lawn chairs, seemed a better setting for a BBQ place than Italian. I Tried the Antipasta salad, which was good, but plated for a single person rather than for more than one, though the price of $9.99 was a bit high for it. Ordered single slices of pizza, one with pepperoni, and the other, with sausage and mushrooms. The dough was unexceptional, very lifeless, without any crispness or bubbly edges. They wasn't enough cheese on either slice. The pepperoni was okay. The sausage was sliced lengthwise but it had no taste and the mushrooms were obviously canned. When the server who was adequate inquired but how I liked the meal, he admitted that the mushrooms were canned. Each slice was $3.00 plus 50 cents for each topping. My advice is to go immediately across the street to Blue Highway pizza and enjoy a more pleasureable fresh made meal there.

“Awesome Pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

We saw the Groupon for Brooklyn Original Pizzeria and thought we would try it. We decided on the Veggie Pie. It was authentic Italian pizza! The dough was hand tossed - not too thick and not too thin. The crust was crispy and the toppings were plentiful. We asked for extra sauce - it turned out perfect. The service was also great. There was only one young lady taking orders and serving the food, but she was on her game. She maintained the dining room smoothly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

“Quality Ingredients - Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

First visit, really hungry, made the mistake of ordering an appetizer, so much food, we couldn't eat the pizza!! Antipasto was good, but not traditional fare (not the prosciutto or mortadella we were hoping for), still nice portion and tasty. The salads were so-so, not much variety in the types of lettuce, or toppings. Pizza was very nice, good hand-thrown crust, plenty of toppings, could have used more sauce, but then most pizza joints don't put enough on. Spoke with the owners, great couple, going to expand into a larger establishment. One great thing they are doing is using quality ingredients, they care! Mushrooms on the pizza were perfect and Extra Virgin Olive Oil is used in the preparation of various dishes. Keep up the good work, we'll be back!!
