The general lack of restaurants open on a Monday night on the Ocala square left us with this place. Would have gone to the Cajun place next door, but we just had Cajun the afternoon before in Savannah.
It was a beautiful night so we wanted to sit outside. Had to wait a bit to get one if two tables cleaned off that appeared to have just been left uncleaned from previous diners. I should have known from the several pieces of sushi rolls left to turn around then.
Took forever for our server to even take our drinks. The restaurant had maybe 5 tables with people if them so there's no reason that should have taken long.
We ordered our food at the same time as our drinks hoping it would cut down on time. We ordered one cold roll and a hot chicken dish. This should have taken 15 minutes max to get us our food. I'm not sure how long it took, but it was way too long for a simple sushi roll and a thin piece of breaded chicken. I thought the forgot about us at one point.
When the food finally came, the food was bland. I didn't rate their food a 1 because I didn't have to spit it out. So at least they're a step above dog food. The sauces were bland and sushi was WAY OVERPRICED and unflavorful. I've had way better sushi at buffets where I can eat 20 flavorful pieces for $10, not 7 pieces.
Then it took forever for our waitress to notice we were done eating to ask us if we were ready for out check. NO CRAP SHERLOCK!!! So once she knew we were ready for our check, it took another 5 minutes to bring us the check. Busy restaurants can get all this done in less than minutes.
Not worth it at all in any aspect.
