Great Motto, fits the place well.
very good fishing in a great location thats not too crowded and no wake zones to deal with from here to the lagoon. the place is clean and comfortable and i have stayed in most of the cabins and can not figure out which one i like the best. There is a good place to eat just down the road, Goodrich Seafood i think. Kelly's bait and takle gas station 1 mile away on US1. This is the typical small town, the only traffic light they have is blinking. Come to think of it, why do i still live in Orlando? Nice Cheap Relaxing vacation.

Room Tip: if you consider the river a pool, then it is excellent, but no pool or fitness center. the redfish...

Ha Ha Ha, I go swimming in the river all the time Rob! I especially like to grab one of the Free Kayaks and paddle over to the islands across the channel to swim there. I also believe that this is the perfect location to fish the Mosquito Lagoon from.

The Oak Hill Fish Camp is well kept and still holds on to the fish camp feel. The only thing you need to worry about when coming here is the weather!! This is going to be an annual trip for me and my fishing buddies, we had a great time. The wind blew a little the first 2 days, but as the weather changes here in florida it cleared up nicely for the rest of the week long fishing adventure. We did catch some small trout and a few catfish the first 2 days, but when the wind layed down we could finally find the tailing reds on the flats. Between the 3 of us we caught about 15 redfish and 5 of which were huge!! Also love the new website, it has a couple fishing locations on it to get us started, and Mike also recommended a Hot Spot map of the lagoon which really helped alot!

Room Tip: Check the weather and get a Hot Spot map.

Stayed in one of the cabins in September 2012, truly enjoyed the entire experience. The cabins are like new, and the access to all sorts of Florida Nature, including Fishing, Kayaking, and animal watching, is simply the best you'll find. The prices are reasonable, and the Manager, Mike, is always available to help make your experience a great one!! Highly, Highly Recommended!!!

The Mosquito Lagoon is to the south of the fish camp, so no no-wake zones to deal with :) The Cabins were clean and in order, everything we really needed for a relaxing fishing vacation! I would definitely recommend this place for your next fishing trip. We used the free kayaks and paddled to the beach across the intercoastal waterway, nice sand and very relaxing! Caught a few over the limit redfish and some nice trout to boot.

We are already planning our next trip and will be calling Mike soon!!

Room Tip: The Redfish Cabin, has a slightly better view and is a little more private since it is on the north...
