“Very Roomy and Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

We stayed here for one night and were impressed by the size of the units. We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was VERY roomy. Room needed some painting in places and some updates. The pool is large and nice. Several umbrella tables and lounge chairs by pool. It was very quiet, possibly due to the time of year, but by 8:00 pm, there was no one around the pool or on the beach. May have been a lot of snow birds there but it was eerily quiet. Perimeter of property is very pretty and relaxing. Will consider again if cannot get into our usual place.

Me and my family have been holidaying here for the last 7 years. We usually go to Orlando first and then come here to relax. It's a family run and what a nice family. Great to be in the pool and be able to look through the gate and see the sea. Really large apartments with really comfy beds. Can't ait to go back.

We have vacationed here for six years now, and we wish we had found it sooner!
The hotel has an incredible location directly on the gulf, with a soft white sandy beach.
The rooms are updated and clean, with everything you could need. The kitchens are a great bonus-- you can eat-in or go out to one of the many restaurants in the area.
The grounds are immaculately manicured. The pool is big and surrounded by lounge chairs-- and unlike many beach front properties, you never need to worry about getting a pool-side seat. Even when the hotel is filled, it seems like it's your own private get-away.
The best part of the Sails is the staff-- Ted and his family are amazing and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make your stay perfect.
We can't wait to return to the Sails.

Room Tip: almost every room has a brilliant view of the Gulf and beautiful sunsets.

I was a little skeptical to stay here based on a couple reviews from this site, but I was very pleased and had an amazing experience! My family and I wanted to get away for a long weekend and this was just what we needed! The location is perfect with breathtaking views of the ocean and great restaurants like Conch Republic within walking distance. Extremely nice, heated pool and multiple sun decks for relaxing and getting some sun! The grounds and rooms are extremely well maintained. There was a kitchen in my room with all the appliances we needed. Blow dryers are available if you ask the office staff, who are very helpful and friendly, but be sure to bring your own shampoo or it can be purchased at a local convenient store. We had a truly wonderful experience and I cannot wait to return to this motel!!!!!

I stayed 6 nights at this motel just a week ago - where do i begin. Hmm, how about the so called heated pool? well only if you tell them a day or two in advance then they'll turn on the heat and hopefully if you're still in town it'll be warm enough to get in but watch-out for the two pot holes or sink holes in the shallow end so you don’t cut up your feet! the free internet? sure if you call the office almost every day to reset it so you can log in and its slowwww plus it doesnt work in the bedroom, only the living room...then theres the room - i had to come out of the room with the only door provided and see and smell a 10 -15 gallon container of paint thinner every day.. I'm not sure why...I was NOT told during the booking process that my rooms only door backed up to the maids quarters where they leave the door open every day all day long..it’s not real attractive in there.. the furniture smelled of urine and was dirty looking, The bed sheets were thin and extremely used and you could see through them, the shower had hair in it plus the shower curtain had slime on it, the bath towels were hard and the white wore off them a long time ago. can you imagine hard towels? this is the place to get one if you're interested. the light fixtures were dirty, the window sills were dirty, the tiny little electric stove was covered in aluminum foil for all the burners and inside the stove for some reason, it looked extremely stupid and I was afraid to use it, the microwave was extremely old and rickety, there was ONE fork in the drawer along with some mismatched other utensils. the toaster that i was shocked was even provided was loaded in someone elses crumbs, hello this is nasty people.the fridge wasnt clean, there were crumbs and spills in it, there was food stuck to the walls in the kitchen...Not one clock on a wall however they had some really old extremely tacky pictures on the walls that I wouldn’t have hung in a dog house. the blinds which had to be from1970 didnt close correctly in any room and the color wore off them many years ago. The maid was rude and continued to leave my bedroom window open despite the fact my personal belongings were in there! we finally cancelled maid service, she was a joke anyway. and they had the nerve to leave a envelope for tips for the maid.please.... the man in the office with a heavy accent and no name was rude! His assistant however was extremely friendly and nice I believe her name is Zanetta, the grounds were nice and well taken care of however everything else pretty much wasn’t so great..if you like urine stained furniture, sink holes in your unheated pool, hard towels, rude employees and dirty showers then this is the place for you. oh and also I cleared it with Zanetta ahead of time about having some family members come over for a couple hours one day but when i followed up with the unnamed man in the office I was charged 5 bucks a head for each person. what type of customer service is this, its not like they spent the night. I'd still like my money back on this one. I think I'm still in shock over the entire visit to this motel. I notice one of the other reviews stated the place might need a facelift? uh no, this place needs to be gutted and restaffed with the exception of Zanetta!

Room Tip: Dont get any room here!

I stayed there 05/2011 and it was a nice experience. The pool was nice and clean. The rooms were spacious and clean, but a little face lift would be nice. Nice view of the Gulf. Staff was also great. Will stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the beach have a nicer view of the Gulf.
