“What a fantastic place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We stayed here in mid August 2012 for 3 nights in the Caretakers Cottage as part of our honeymoon.

Margaret and Peter are wonderful, friendly hosts, who are always willing to help and provide good local information. The breakfasts were different each morning, but absolutely delicious and 100% homemade and served in Margaret's dining room! Perhaps even nicer than the food was the company provided during breakfast, which you don't get anywhere else. I think we spent an hour each morning just talking about anything and everything!

The houses are lovely from the outside and the gardens are really well maintained. Inside there is everything that you would expect and want and you could easily chill out there all day, although we spent more time out and about. The wireless internet is a bonus, especially if you are from overseas and the beach equipment available is certainly a bonus. Most of all, whilst it is a safe area, the added security of the gates just added that extra reassurance.

What summed the B&B up was on our check-out day, there was a typical Florida thunderstorm which started at 9am and kept on going, and going. We started loading the car to check out but Peter heard us and told us that there was no rush at all as the house wasn't being used that evening. As a result, we could dry off a bit and save our cases being soaked through. When we decided to check out when the rain had subsided somewhat, Margaret and Peter provided an umbrella to take us from the office to the car, to keep us dry. A lovely touch.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Caretakers Cottage which was lovely but I doubt that there is a bad house.

We spent a week visiting family in N. Redington. We needed a place with 2 bedrooms because we have 2 young ones (7 months and 19 months), and needed the space. I found Park Circle on trip advisor after looking endlessly for condos on VRBO but we needed 6 days and most were weekly or monthly. So it was a pleasant surprise to find a place with all the amenities. We stayed in the Caretakers Cottage and absolutely loved every minute. The kids didn't exactly love the beach so the pool was a godsend. We were even able to hit the pool with the baby monitor during naptime! They have everything you need (towels, music, toys, books, etc...) The whole property was very very clean with a great attention to detail. Pictures don't do it justice. Margret and Peter were great and the breakfasts were perfect. They always accommodated our 1 1/2 year old at breakfast as well. The place really did feel like a home away from home. Would love a vacation cottage like the Caretakers in the future. We would highly recommend Park Circle to anyone. LOVED IT!!!

We had a family reunion where we booked all of the bungalows and had to pay an extra $35 per person over 2 people regardless of whether we booked a 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom. The website promised a "full American style breakfast" each morning (we were there for 2 mornings). We got a basic Continental breakfast both mornings with the exception of Sunday when she brought out a hash brown casserole and some "brown n' serve" sausage. The houses were "decorated" with rules which made it feel like a medium security prison, including a note stating that if we didn't leave our bungalows as clean as we found them, we would be charged a cleaning fee of $275 per unit! We also were not allowed to cook in our bungalows because our stay was less than 7 days. Had it not been for our family reunion and the wonderful time we had as a family - the stay could have been a very disappointing weekend. PS - the property is beautiful, the bungalows are adorable and very clean but the value was not there for not being directly on the beach; endless, restrictive rules and a disappointing breakfast...a big part of staying at a B&B!!

We returned to Park Circle for our second visit. It was just as nice as we remembered. The cottage(s) were still charming and comfortable and the breakfasts amazing. I love the landscaping & pool. It's such a pleasure to be at the beach, but away from the crowds & noise. Having private parking is an added plus.

We stumbled across Park Circle B&B last year while looking for a family-friendly place to stay that was close to where my mother-in-law was staying (at the Doubletree). We were SO impressed when we stayed here last April (2011), that we decided to book again for this year (April 2012). I'm so glad that we called way in advance and booked our stay. Even my mother-in-law and her sister stayed at Park Circle this year. They loved their little cottage and of course, the amazing meals that Margaret prepares. If a family vacation is in our near future we will not hesitate to book at Park Circle again! Margaret and Peter are FANTASTIC hosts, thinking of absolutely everthing and accomodating our little ones. :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Beach House again this year and loved it. 2 bedrooms were fine for us even though w...

Margaret & Peter are wonderful hosts. They thought of all kinds of details such as beach chairs, extra sunscreen & an umbrella at the front door on a rainy morning. The breakfasts were to die for. The cottage was cute & comfortable. A quiet, private oasis right on Gulf Blvd!

My wife, seven-year old son and I just returned from a four night stay at the Park Circle B&B.
What an incredible place!! Seven houses dating from the 1940's all lovingly cared for, preserved and maintained by the transplanted-Wisconsin hosts Margaret and Peter, who have owned them for 14 years.

ACCOMMODATIONS - We stayed in the Beach House. It was perfectly decorated for the name, plus it was quiet, comfortable and clean. It truly felt like our own home [only nicer, cleaner and in Florida!]. It consisted of two bedrooms, one with a queen and the other with two twins, which were converted into a king for my wife and I; all we had to do was ask before we arrived. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We also had a garage to park our rental car! The photos on their website are exactly as you will find your house. The kitchen had all kinds of cutlery, dishes and glasses. An added bonus was the television which had a great number of channels including Versus for us NHL fans!! We also toured all of the other houses which were all wonderful, particularly the Green House.

LOCATION - Park Circle B&B is situated in an upscale, quiet neighborhood. We felt safe during our entire stay. There are great lighted tennis courts and a nice playground for your use right behind the Beach House. The houses are across Gulf Blvd from the beach, but it's only a short walk on wide sidewalks and using pedestrian-controlled crosswalks. Alternatively, Margaret and Peter will provide a resident parking pass at no charge should you wish to drive and park at the beach [handy if you have chairs, etc.]. There is an excellent restaurant [Conch Republic – highly rated by Trip Advisor members] a really short walk across a quiet street just north of the property. Everything else, including a nice Publix supermarket is a short-drive away.

AMENITIES - All beach accessories [towels, umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, sand toys], as well as tennis rackets and balls plus some board games, are available for guests to borrow during their stay. All of these are provided at no extra charge [there are no hidden costs here]. Laundry facilities are on site and affordable as well. They have a nice gated, quiet pool for guests to use [no diving]. At the pool you will find nice lounge chairs and tables plus there are water noodles, etc. for kids/non-swimmers. They also provide housekeeping for the houses when [or if] you need it.

BREAKFAST - Was served from 8-9 AM every morning and was delicious no matter what Margaret cooked up. They always had a variety of cut fruit and some sort of freshly-baked pastries, as well as six or so types of dry cereals in addition to the ‘special entrée’. They also offered many types of juices for us non-coffee drinkers.

MARGARET AND PETER – You can likely tell from the preceding details that this pair really cares for their guests and will help you thoroughly enjoy your vacation no matter how long or short your stay. They offered us spot-on advice [when we asked] on restaurants, shopping, directions and also provided great conversation each morning. Yet they were never overburdening or pushy and we were always made to feel like we were part of their family during our stay.

My wife has been a travel agent for 14 years and she will highly recommend Park Circle B&B to anyone looking to visit the St. Pete-area.

Thank you Margaret and Peter for a wonderful, but way too short, stay!! We truly missed you and your Beach House when we moved onto the Disney-area.
We will return for a much longer stay on our next visit to Florida.

Highly recommended!!!

Room Tip: E-mail and ask Margaret. She'll help you.
