“Gorgeous View, Good Food, Bad Mangos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Sat outside on the patio on a beautiful September evening. Needless to say the view was magnificent as the sun set. We had a party of six and ordered various entrees, shrimp, ribs and pork tenderloin all were delicious and well prepared. The service was good as it wasn't too busy. The only issue we had was the bill. We are Mangos Club members (over two years) and according to the member benefits and guidelines if you purchase one entree you receive a second of equal or lesser value free. Accordingly we thought it we bought two entrees we would receive two free, which we found out isn't the case. It is only one free entree per card so we were a little disappointed at what otherwise was a great meal at a terrific setting. Hopefully they will clarify or change this in the future as we would be more likely to bring guests with us to dine.

“How to lose good customers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

Until this trip I would recommend this restaurant. Now I will never go there again due to dis-courteous treatment & mis-guided policies. Have been a regular Sun AM buffet customer for some time now & have been happy with the food, the service & the location (outside on the beach). This Sun AM we went there again & found plenty of room in the parking garage at 10:30 AM. An attendent comes running up & says we can't park here due to the hotel being full -- it wasn't full yet at 10:30 AM & it was unlikely that it would fill up by noon when we would be long gone. Sorry, can't park here -- park on the street. There was limited parking on the highway & it was all full. So that's it for Mangos today -- could't park in a half-empty garage because of what was going to happen later in the day. Called the next day & talked to Julie in customer service. Sorry, its Labor Day w/e & we have people paying $250 for a room & we can't afford to have them find the garage full. In essence she said: we really don't care about restaurant customers this w/e even if we could have accomodated them in the AM for our special ADVERTISED b'fast buffet. They didn't want to go to the trouble of finding a way to handle ALL of their customers, only those paying $250 a day. Apologies were offered but they were hollow & not accepted. I'm sure they have plenty of customers, but now they definitely have 4 less. Its too bad as our other visits were exemplary.

“Friday Night Buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

We stayed at this hotel and ate the Friday night buffet for $19.95 a person. They provided cooked to order sirloin and blackened pork, roasted chicken, shrimp, mussels, salad, mashed potatoes, cole slaw and dessert. The quality of the food is worth the price. You can sit inside or outside. They provide live music (2 or 3 people) and island dancers. During our stay, young girls in the audience danced with the main hula dancers so the dinner is good for kids also. You will walk away full on a Friday night. We only stayed 2 nights and didn't have any other meals here.
