Just needed to get away! Was very happy I stayed at the Marco-polo. Patty was
friendly and fun. She made my trip!!! I would stay here again. Great rooms, food and
wonderful staff.

My husband and I flew in for NewYears Eve, the hotel was very busy, however the staff was patient, considerate and very helpful, especially Paula at the front desk and our favorite Bartender Patty. Two reasons we'll be back.

I picked this hotel because it was at a decent price, $175.00 a night, and it was right on the beach. We only stayed for two nights prior to our cruise so it worked out well. I wouldn't stay here if it was a weeks vacation. Overall the staff was friendly, some more than others. The place was fairly clean, but in need of more and better renovations than what they were doing while we were there. The beds were very uncomfortable. Our room was on the eleventh floor and I had a hard time sleeping because it was right next to the elevator. Everything outside was nice, the pool, access to the beach, and the bar. The food was good, we ate lunch poolside. A little expensive, but not bad. Drinks are a little expensive. The grounds could be a little cleaner but not to bad. The hotel is not real close to anything. If you want to walk to get something to eat its probably a mile or more each way. The bottom line is you get what you pay for, it's a RAMADA. It worked out fine for what we needed.

We arrived before noon and were offered to look at the available rooms. We looked at three rooms all of which had bad smell: old, moldy, cigarets, strange food - you name it. The smell was persistent on the floors (3rd, 5th, and 7th) and the lobby (the rooms have stoves but poor ventilation, therefore it smells like whatever horrible food has been cooked there for years). We asked for a renovated room and were told that it'll take a few hours to prepare but they will put a priority on it and the room will be ready by 2pm. That's where the service ended. We came back at 3pm and the room wasn't ready. The front desk couldn't get a hold of housekeeping; as the line formed for check-in, the staff was hiding in the back room; no effort was made to accommodate or compensate us for the inconvenience. I was ready to cancel the reservation and look for another hotel but wanted to give the renovated room a chance. The room wasn't ready until 4:50pm. It still smelled, looked old (no balcony room on the 3rd floor), had zero noise insulation, and a screaming loud AC. To seal the deal there were urine stains on the toilet seat and hair on the bathroom floor. We were out of there as soon as we booked a room at another hotel. (needless to say we lost that night's fare) I will never again stay at this or any other Ramada. Horrible service, horrible hotel... the worst i ever saw. It is on par with the sleaziest motel you can imagine. Please avoid at all cost.
