“You get what you pay for”

This is the first time I write a review and feel that it is important that I let people know my findings.
I went down with wife and son (9 yrs old) for 7 nights. We stayed in a room with two double beds, a good sized tv and a spacious walk in closet. The restroom was clean enough but needed some changing to the leaky faucet of the tub. Had enough air conditioning, sometimes a bit cold but you can close the vent if it is too cold for you. Plenty of cable channels to watch at night, however, what really killed my son and I were the BED BUGS! I have approximately 300 bites all over my hands, arms, and some on my legs. A bit on my back and neck, but 80% bitten on my arms and hands. It didn't bother me until the 4th night, and since I did not know anything about bed bugs, I figured the itchiness was due to an allergic reaction to a sting fom a portuguese man of war (purple flags on beach means dangerous marine animals). I was stung by this on Monday afternoon, so figured that the allergic reaction was causing the hives and itching. I was wrong, it was bed bugs, and must have been a lot since i was bit at least 50 times a night. It's been just over a week since I was first bittien and they are only now starting to dry up..still very itchy!! Please inspect beds and headboard and surrounding areas for bed bugs. There is a ton of signs you can identify, do the research on the internet. Prepare to ask the hotel manager to change rooms if you find any signs of bed bug infestation. Very bad exerience but like i said you get what you pay for. Vacation was still awesome and hotel managment and pool was fine. If there were no bed bugs I would increase my rating to at least 3 bubbles.
Thanks, please email me if you require further information:

This place is in terrible need to repairs, cleaning and a housekeeping management review.

The bed was made everyday and the dirty towels were removed. Other than that nothing was done - the sink and shower were never wiped down. The floor was not vacuumed or swept. The place looked generally dirty, rusty, run down and slapped together.

The front desk staff were always very pleasant and helpful. I really have to hand it to them on that front. They really were genuinely pleasant to deal with.

    • Disliked — The utter lack of consideration given to cleaning and maintenance of the place.

Hi - I needed a cheap and convenient place to stay for the weekend as my friend still didn't have his place ready (I work in the travel and tourism industry).
This place is nothing fancy but for the price I paid it was enough. This is just a place to sleep. The room was big and thankfully not carpeted. It had a big closet and a kitchen (didn't use it but it was clean) and it was clean.
Beds are ok but not great. Bathroom is small but the water pressure was really good (at least in my room #133).
The hotel is old and it might look a little bit scatchy, but again it is nothing fancy. They have security and everything.
And it is right on the beach. The beach area is spacious.
Honestly if you just need a place to crash, for the price it is not bad.
They ask for $8 for parking - which is not a bad price considering the area. We managed not to pay - I guess the night auditor liked us :).
The night auditor was very nice with us and also the rest of the front desk staff. I needed a cab at 3.30 AM and they managed to have it there right on time.
This place is for no-frills people who just want a place to stay. It is not close to South Beach though. So if you don't have a car, and want to be in SoBe don't stay here.

I realy dont write bad reviews unless it was bad, The place is old,
they charge you to park your own car in the parking lot on top of the hotel price, they offer no continental breakfast, the staff was friendly, the pictures look nothing like the hotel, they must have been taken years ago, it is right on the beach, that is the only good thing, I would spend the couple of extra dollars and stay someplace nicer.

“Worst Hotel in miami!!”

Travelodge Monaco/N Miami/Sunny Isles

This place was the worst experience of my life. The staff there are all jerks and very rude. Since this place is going to be brought out soon to build highrises they treat this place and the people who stay here like crap. The rooms on the first floor of the 2 story hotel were decent however the 2nd floor rooms were disgusting. The beachwas the only good thing about the time i spent here. My advice is to buy a time share and or stay some place that nice and has good reviews.
