You need to realize this 'restaurant' is actually in one of the several sales buildings that make up 'Laurenzos Italian Food Specilaties". THere is another in Hollywood on the beach front (food market only).
We have had very good pizza here, when the dough maker is available. The back kitchen also prepares many other excellent dishes, and it both quick frozen for market sales, and places in trays and served in the food 'court'...which is very like a cafeteria. Very old looking, wood floors, not dirty, but could use a frreshening. (Actually, I think they want that look.
Excellent bakery. This "Italian" bakery is one of the few that still produce the eastern European bread called "Corn (ed) Rye, seeded. Ask for it on the sandwich that is made with corned beef or just provolne cheese. The breag is actually a sour dough rye & wheat corned with a sour dough (onion used to sour, then removed).
THe Italian Butter cookies are also excellent...(the Eggplant Parm and Chicken is super. The marinara sauce is good, the tomato sauce (gravy) must be cooked 12 hours...super.
