We stayed here for nearly a week April 2012 when we attended Wrestlemania. We choose the hotel because it was close to the beach (quick bus ride), and about half way between downtown and the Sun Life stadium. There's a fabulous (although a little overpriced) pizza place across the street. And plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Just up the street via public bus is a beautiful Spanish Monastery from the 1700's.
The hotel and room itself was impeccably clean. Towels and toiletries were replenished regularly. Our 5th floor room had a balcony overlooking the pool and intracoastal. The view was nice. The pool was perfection as well. Very clean and though a little cool - it was perfect for most days that were in the high 70's and 80's. The hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there. It looked like they were finishing up, since most of the hotel looked very new. But the renovations didn't disturb us at all.
The only complaint we had was when we were leaving, we asked if the front desk could lock up our bags while we went out because our shuttle wasn't due till the afternoon. He told us that they had no place to lock up bags, but that he would keep them in the entryway and watch them. We did have an issue with this, because he was spending most of his time in the office behind the desk and was not going to be watching our bags full time. I have never stayed at a hotel before that was not willing to lock up bags for the guests.
