We booked this hotel for two nights because of the location and price. We stayed in room 110. It was supposed to have a kitchenette. I was surprised to find that the kitchenette had no utensils, plates, etc. Turns out, there was a good reason for it.
The first evening, I opened the oven and roaches started appearing everywhere - oven, sink, stovetop. They were baby roaches. We also saw small roaches in the sink outside the bathroom.
However, we had both taken sleeping pills and it was late. We left the lights on and hoped for the best.
In the morning, the roaches were not present, so we decided to stick it out another day since the bed was some distance from the kitchenette. Bad mistake. That evening we found a roach crawling up one of the bedspreads and three on the nightstand that joined the two beds.
When we had pulled into the parking lot the day before, the exterminators had been at the hotel. The room was infested anyway.
We checked out at 9:30 at night, just eating the $80.00 cost. When I turned the key into the night clerk, she said that it was not the hotel's fault, people and their kids brought food into the rooms, and it was beyond the hotel's control.
Surely the kitchenette means you can bring in food?
Naturally there was no refund.
BTW, the balcony door was stuck and would not open, and the walls are like paper -- you can hear everything in the adjoining rooms.
Pay a little more and get a good night's sleep without worrying about eating a roach.
