I really loved this place!! Ate here three times while we were on vacation in Captiva. We went for breakfast since we had arrived late the night before and still hadnt purchased groceries. The wait staff was very welcoming and friendly. Liked that they had a variety of menu items. Im allergic to eggs and they still had plenty to choose from. I had the pigs in pancakes. (Still giggle when I say that) Hubby had the ultimate seafood omelet. We both loved our meals and the portion size was very, very generous. As we were celebrating out 25th anniversary we had a couple mimosas which were great too but pricey. We went back a few days later and shared the tropical fruit plate, which we saw after we ordered our previous breakfast, and ordered a meat side each and it was well worth the price. No mimosas this time. Both of these times we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Our last visit we had gone to North Captiva for a 6 hour shelling trip and were exhausted. Jumped in our golf cart and headed back to R.C. Otters for dinner and sat inside this time. They had an acoustic guitar musician playing outside but we didnt have the gumption to sit outside after being in the sun for so long so we headed into the bar where our waiter was also friendly and helpful. The beer here is as cold as it gets without being frozen and a welcome treat. I had the beans and rice topped with the fish of the day and a side of asparagus, Hubby had the meatloaf and again they didnt disappoint. Wish they had a restaurant in Delaware I'd be a regular. It was fun to read all the signs and could never find the side entrance for hippies, maybe next time! If you dont go here your missing out. It was our favorite of the places we dined out at in Captiva. Oh yeah they had that ring on a string that swings game. (That should be a Jimmy Buffet song) lol. Enjoy your trip.
