We used to come here with friends yearly for 8 years over a November long weekend visit to Captiva. We had not been here in 8 or 9 years and decided to bring other friends for dinner. We knew it was pricey given the fact that it had no view other than a parking lot but the food had always been spectacular. The dinner food was mediocre for all 4 of us on this weekday night visit. The bread and oil was probably the highlight. We arrived just before dinner hours began so it was not busy. The waiter was attentive. The food was just disappointing compared to what it used to be and for these prices, it should be great. The lava cake with ice cream was nothing special either. We will not be going back. Too many other restaurants to choose from during our winter stay in southwest Florida. We raved to our friends about this place so it made it doubly disappointing.
