“Best on Captiva”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

We have been to Captiva Island a few times, and aside from Green Flash, this is our favorite restaurant. Some other restaurants on the Island are kitchy, over-priced and don't even serve LOCAL seafood, but Sunshine Seafood has local fish, simply and deliciously prepared. They also have a great wine list! Sunshine has a great "local" feel to it, and we will always eat there when we stay on Captiva!

“Incredible fish preparation, they know what they are doing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2011

It was our last night on Sanibel-Captiva and had just caught an amazing sunset nearby....so that set the tone for a great "last supper". Wonderful, sweet server greeted us and we enjoyed some nice wine paired up with a salad (share one!) and two fish specials that were over the top. Great flavors, very creative prep and very, very enjoyable. We will go back!!

“Excellent Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2011

We arrived in Captiva on a Saturday afternoon very hungry. We drove by Sunshine Seafood and was able to grab a late lunch. We went in on a whim and completely lucked out. The crab cakes, burger, and fish sandwich on the lunch menu were phenomenal. Our waitress was also very nice. We returned for dinner later in the week and arrived at 5:00pm. There was nobody at the restaurant so our reservation was not needed. My husband had the paella and I had the shrimp and scallop scampi. Again both phenomenal. While our waitress was attentive , she had a bit of an attitude. She answered our questions with "yup, uh huh". I didn't expect her to fall all over us but for the higher price of the meal she could have at least acted like she cared. The manager and the chefs were very nice. Waving back at our son as he sat and waved to them. However I did not find most people that worked on Captiva to be that friendly. Unlike our trips to the Carribean Islands where everyone is nice.

“Very good seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2011 via mobile

We had a delicious meal. Pretty pricy but you get what you pay for on Captiva. Paella and grouper were delicious, as was kids chicken fingers. Kids pasta was nothing special.
