I got sucked in by reviews to do this event while staying at the Tween Waters Inn. First, we were told we must have a dinner reservation to participate, so we sat for nearly 1.5 hours and ate so-so buffet food before the event got underway. The MC had some funny lines, but he went on and on and dragged out the show way too long. We were there nearly 3 hours from the time we were told we had to be seated for dinner. It felt like a real waste of time. There were a few jokes and stabs that were not family-friendly and crossed the line with the audience. My advice is if you want to check this out, take a risk and show up around 7pm. We watched numerous people waltz in w/o dinner reservations and they easily got in on the crab races. We felt dumb for wasting 1.5 hours sitting there feeling forced to eat their buffet. Our kids enjoyed the race itself, but did not appreciate all the waiting and hype. They grew restless and agreed it dragged on and on. Just before the final race, the MC takes a break so he can sell t-shirts (he reminds you that he has 2 kids to support) and urges you to buy drinks and take care of your waitstaff because they too have kids and family to support. This was tacky and by this time we couldn't wait for it to end.
