“Amazing hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2010

It's the third time this year we stay at this hotel, 2 in January and 1 in October. The service is the best part. At the front desk there are incredible persons like Crystal, Lorenzo, RJ, Ayram, Jonathan, Oscar and Others, that treat you very kind, and all of your requests are resolves.
Rooms are very confortables, and very clean. Breakfast is very complete. And inside there is very nice restaurante, Shuckers, with a Marina, with an incredible view. We have a very happy stayed. Jorge Donadini

I have never been more disgusted with a hotel. My sister and I booked this hotel for the two nights that we stayed in Florida before going on a cruise. We decided on this hotel because they offered a shuttle from the airport, and to the cruise port.

The driver of the shuttle was an informative tour guide as we drove through Miami, but he did make some very crude conversation that was not appreciated by everyone in the van. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff was rude and obnoxious. When we opened the door to our room, neither of us could hide our disappointment... it was outdated and shabby to say the least, but we figured it was only two nights, so we'd make the best of it. I gave the bathroom a quick cleaning to make sure it was actually sanitary, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. We immediately had to request extra towels, there were only two small hand towels for our use.

My sister only folded back the sheets on the one side of the bed that she slept on the first night... it wasn't until the next morning that she realized the sheets on the other side of the bed were COVERED in dried blood and bodily fluids from a previous guest. We brought the soiled sheets directly to hotel staff at the front desk. They barely offered an apology, they just tried to shuffle us away so that other patrons wouldn't see what we were talking about.

The outdoor restaurant was located directly under the hotel rooms/balconies and it was loud all the time, day and night.

Hotel staff at the front desk made a mistake with my credit card during check-in, insisting (in front of other patrons) that it was being declined when the funds were actually approved. We met with resistance when we asked hotel staff about public transportation, restaurants, and attractions in the area. They all acted as if they were being bothered by our nonsense and one of them actually rolled her eyes and huffed at me when I asked a simple question. Not a good experience.

Pros: nice location on the the waterfront, good service, good breakfast, nice restaurant, free shuttle to airport.
Cons: small room and bathroom, older hotel with poor bathroom, thin walls.
Probably a bit over priced for the area, but ok for one night.

Excelent location with a wonderful view if you get a bayfront room! Price is good, breakfast is good, room is very clean. The only negative point is that the corridors are durty and the entrance of the building that has the restaurant is also very dirty.

Stayed here with wife and 2 teenagers for 5 nights for 547 dollars, Free breakfast (adequate) Chose this hotel after visiting hotels direct at the beach where I valet parked 2 years ago (20 a day) and often had to wait too long for my car. This year some hotels (Deauville resort) were full even for valet parking. So chose the Best Western. Not on the beach but directly on the waterfront behind the sea (Intracoastal Waterway). Nice view over the bay and the bar/restaurant (very busy and quite good with nice terrace). Bayfront room (4 dollar more but nicer) big enough for 4 (including fridge/freezer, microwave). Parking directly near the elevator/stairs. Very friendly staff. Very clean and well maintained. Would choose this hotel again for sure next visit to Miami. Roomrate at reception same as internet. Free wifi. nice pool/terrace

This hotel was a surprising find. We were only in the Miami area for one night and I wanted something close to the airport.

This hotel is very close but you could be miles away from the craziness of the Miami airport. It sits on the inter-coastal waterway. There is an outdoor restaurant/ bar on premises. I was afraid this would be loud but we could not hear any music or voices once we moved away from the restaurant entrance. The food is good and the atmosphere is great.

There is a large clean pool with a nice sitting area all around. There are two second floor open balconies with tables to enjoy the evening quiet. Yes these are both near the restaurant and we couldn’t hear any noise. The view over the inter-coastal was beautiful.

The room was large but note the bathroom is SMALL. There is no room for a toiletry bag. But how long do you really spend in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. The room was clean.

The morning complimentary breakfast was good. The staff was plentiful and helpful.

The area right around the hotel is not conducive to walking or night life close by. Miami Beach was a drive but this was not our destination so it didn’t matter.

This is a nice hotel and for the money a great find. I would definitely stay at this property again. There was an airport shuttle at the time we stayed there but we did not use it.
