It's never easy taking my family out to a restaurant. With three relatives over 86, walkers & wheelchairs are the reality. I can almost hear the servers and hostesses roll their eyes when we come in. Not at Pops though, the young wait staff were attentive and started out pretty good. Our server was attentive and fairly patient. The food was good, large portion sizes and tasty. I was a bit confused when the server was cashing me out though. We put in a three $20 bills in with a credit card, with the implied understanding that the cash would go toward the total. The server pocketed the twenties and put the entire amount on the card. With all the fuss associated with getting the elderly to the car, I didn't realize that the server had taken all of the cash as her tip (a 50% gratuity). I called them later to straighten this out and my call was "dropped" twice. Hmm...something fishy there. Beware the servers and their sticky fingers on cash payments.
