We have lived in Bluewater Bay, Nicevile, FL for over 15 years, but never tried this restaurant until very recently. What a pleasant surprise. The food is very good and plentiful, and reasonably priced. We always go for the shrimp basket and the fried oyster basket ($12 and $11, respectively. Dinners are higher, ranging from $16 to $35, but we usually go for lunch, and the baskets are big enough to leave you very full.
The other comparable restaurants in the area are much more expensive.
But aside from price, the view of the Marina is the icing on the cake. We live close to the beach, but are not really beach people. Being able to go to a neighborhood restaurant gives us a refreshing look at where we actually live. Niceville is otherwise pretty boring, except for Turkey Creek, which I also have reviewed.
One problem is that it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. However there is an Oyster Bar just adjacent to it. We have not tried it yet, but probably will some Monday or Tuesday.
The only reason I did not give it a rating of 5, is that the glass sunroom ceiling needs some rennovating, and it detracts from the ambience somewhat. But ignore that, and look at the marina. Also, I don't think anyone minds if you take a stroll on the docks afterward.
