before coming here for a long weekend, i read the reviews, and knew what to expect. not the cleanest place, but right on the beach. tiki bar is convienent to have as well. that being said, i will never stay here again. after our first night at the motel, we went to the beach, had lunch at the tiki bar. we were in and out of our room a few times throughout the day. after the maid "cleaned" up our room, i was going through my drawer looking for my dress i planned on wearing that night. could not find it anywhere. i then checked my wallet which i left in a zippered compartment, in a bag, behind/under other things. i was missing $60. also later realized i was missing a shirt. went to the front office to complain, (more than once i might add), and nothing was done about it. they questioned their maid, and said she denied it. so they had no way of proving she stole anything. they didnt give me any compensation what-so-ever for my belongings that were stolen. very, very upsetting.

Was here last November with a group and we had a pretty good time, although after 10pm it was a little noisy....it's right on the beach with a pool and tiki bar which has good breakfast sandwiches and burgers. When I stayed a couple weeks ago they had added a giant adirondack chair in the sandy courtyard (cute), but our room #32 had a smoky smell all night, the air conditioner in the closet was LOUD and unadjustable so we froze and I had to put in earplugs to sleep and the pool shower was broken. It seems they could spend money on fixing things up instead of cute chairs......

Room Tip: #30 has an ocean view but the rooms on the south side have adjustable air conditioning. Recommend...

My family came here for a week end get a way! If your looking for a peaceful relaxing weekend this is not the place for you. It's dog friendly which is great unless the dog in the next room barks all night. The tiki bar is open to the public, which gives you an endless stream of odd characters passing through and using the pool. The pool chairs were all broken and there was all kinds of trash left behind on the pool deck and no one cleaned it up, it just stayed there all weekend. I was so disappointed by it all, we just packed up and went home.

I have stayed here at least three times. I am never sorry. We enjoyed the beach and champagne then decided to head to dinner. When in New Smyrna, you MUST go to The Garlic. Since we had already sipped away our happy hour, I inquired about a taxi. There came this sweet guy on a golf cart type vehicle and swept us away. After a TOP NOTCH dinner he took us to a place for a night cap then back safely to our room at Sea Vista See you again soon Sea Vista !

Room Tip: there is a "taxi " you can take to the Garlic ~ a must do

We've been going to the Sea Vista for many years, but had not been for a long time...until this weekend. It was better than ever! They've refurbished much of it - outside & inside. It's an old place with great big rooms that all overlook the ocean. The tops of the dunes are within 3'-4' of the balconies. The beds are arranged so that you can roll over, open the drapery, and see the ocean without ever getting out of bed! I fell asleep on Friday while watching the full moon rise - head right on the pillow. There are real stoves & "life-size" refrigerators in the kitchens. We figured we saved at least $100 Fri-Sun by taking our own food and preparing it ourselves instead of eating out. It was an excellent weekend getaway that we wish could've been much, much longer!

Room Tip: The 2nd story floors are at level with the top of the sand dunes. The view is very good and there ar...

My husband and I stayed at the Sea Vista last week (Easter Week) with our two sons plus two exchange students and two friends. We normally rent a condo on vacation but booked too late so we found the Sea Vista. We really had a wonderful time. Husband and I had the one bedroom unit which was very clean and newly remodeled. All three rooms we booked were clean, all the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is true on the weekends there can be a rowdy crowd but everyone had a live and let live attitude and there were no problems. We enjoy meeting all kinds of people and loved the fact that this is a very non pretentious place. The tiki bar has great food, the beach is gorgeous and we would defintately stay there again (and plan to).

This place was the absolute worst place we have ever stayed. We had no choice and had to stay one night... Wow!! People partying all night, doing drugs outside, beer cans everywhere, liquor bottles everywhere, cops coming in and out to arrest people.... I could go on and on... Couldn't get to the beach without people blowing cigarette smoke in your face!! Absolutely horrible! The only good part is we got a one night refund for our original reservation, but had to pay for 2 nights to sleep less than 5 Hours... Be aware if you think this is a good deal... On the beach and cheap.... You will be sorely disappointed!!!
