We visited the Spanish River Grill on a recommendation from a friend and the reviews from this web site to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. This restaurant is a small intimate place with white table linens and candles. We were greeted warmly and received excellent service. The waiter told us about the specials and gave us time to decide. We had water and bread before they knew what we were going to order.

We ordered an appetizer and the sangria. Each were presented beautifully and were delicious. My husband had the Portuguese pan roast which consisted of several shellfish and fish, while I had the chirizo stuffed ribeye. We ate every bite! The prices are reasonable $15-20. We ended with bread pudding which was large enough to share.

Don't wait for a special ocassion to try this place. We'll be back. They don't take reservations and I understand are very busy on the weekends.

I love Spanish River. The food, atmosphere, and hospitality is unmatched. Spanish food with a focus on local seafood with a creative twist creates a very delicious dining experience. The food is not only flavorful, but considering the quality quite reasonable. Their wine list for the size of the restaurant is quite impressive. It is most certainly worth th wait! My only complaint is that I wish they would expand.

This little place has real class. Great food, excellent management, more care than you expect is taken on all fronts. The chef turns out very classy dishes. The door and the dining room are handled exquisitly. It's a refreshing enhancement to the stand-by's in this wonderful old beach town.
