Great Menu, Great Atmosphere, STOP...
Tried the following, Grouper broiled, guest tried the Grouper fried, bowl of New England Chowder. First the chowder tasted like some other seafood item, not clams. The consistency was like heavy paste, cream of wheat. We did not eat it after a taste.
The Grouper broiled was covered in red, which was a heavy seasoning, mostly Paprika. Now, I was not able to taste the fish, just the seasoning. What a shame to ruin a fine fish by smothering it in Paprika. The waitress did offer to redo it. She WAS quick to point out that MOST people like it that way. I have been in Florida for thirty years. Never saw such a waste of a fine fish and our fine meal. Can not say much better for the fried Grouper. It was paper thin, therefore when fried it was more coating than fish, and more like a think potato chip in appearance. Best ice tea had in a long time. I did not got there for the ice tea. Service was fair. Slow and we were hardly checked on, yet it was a slow afternoon. There are many other places in Volusia County to have wonderful fish. I will be returning to all of them, but not to this place. Dissappointment at best.
