“Gone down hill”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

We have family in new Smyrna beach and have gone to blackbeards once a year for the past 7 years. On this visit We planed a family dinner out and the family said " it's not as good, they gave gone down hill". Well out of tradition we went and we were all very disappointed. It was one thing after another. The dining room was frezzing about 55 ? Asked the server to lower the ac and she said she would but never did ( we all sat there with coats on) finally went to front desk and the manager did lower it. The sodas were flat the fish was under cooked(dangerous) they started breaking down the salad bar before we were done with it, and never asked if we wanted any thing eles from it. Then they started to clean the tables with some very strong products while people where still eating, everyone was looking around like what's going on... Some elderly lady started to cough from the poison cleaning product. What a dump !

I see by all of your other reviews that you are a golfer, that being said I`m sure you know that all of your putts don`t fall and you don`t always hit the green on your approach. Sometimes you even get in the sand and can`t get out in 7 strokes and if your drive lands in the fairway every time you swing it .....well we know the answer to that. What you don`t have in your game is a manager to call out when you have a problem. We admit we don`t always have a perfect day.. But with all of the problems you had at blackbeards, I would have demanded my money back and you would have got it , every penny. So then next time you are in NSB look me up, reference this response and I will pay and play you a game of golf at the muni. And if you play a perfect game I will buy you dinner anywhere you choose... Any place has to be better than a dump...........Thanks for your after the fact input

“Good Oyster Bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

This is the best raw bar in New Smyrna to get Oysters, shrimp, clams. Good happy hour, cold beer good drinks. We like to eat at the bar or one of the tables in the bar room. The restaurant seems stuffy and crowded. Dinners come with the salad bar which is very boring, the seafood chowder at the salad bar is watered down and a tasteless salty mess. I really can't say too much good about the dinners, but the Oysters sure are good!!!

“so so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

I was back there on the 27th of Feb, my wife had fish which was delicious but I had the small rack of ribs which were so so. It looked like they cooked the ribs and just dumped the sauce over it once it was cooked. I think the next time I go I will try the chicken or the roast beef again. I wish I was a fish eater because every time my wife eats it there it is delicious

“Good Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

I ordered the early bird special as trip advisors stated would be a good ida. For a very reasonable price I got a very good seafood chodder, salad bar and a nice piece of whitefish tender and seasoned nicely, veggies and fries. The whole meal was @ 14.00!!! It tated GOOD. My husaband had a burger it was good too but I recommend the early bird.
