The Beacon is always a stop, at least twice a year, when in NSB. We enjoy the food and its close proximity to the beach. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt. It's a great way to start the day!

We eat at the Beacon every morning for breakfast every week that we go to New Smyrna Beach every year.

This place is packed for a reason.....the food and the service is absolutely the best for breakfast anywhere! The portions are so large and the prices are so incredible. Coffee is great and so is the service.

Beacon -- we love you and will come back each year!

My wife and I have eaten at the Beacon Restaurant on Flagler Ave many times over the years and always enjoyed the friendly service and consistent food. On our recent visit to the restaurant my wife ordered the greek omlet for breakfast. After tasting the feta cheese in the omlet- something she has enjoyed for years- she noted it was very bad. She brought this to the attention of the waitress, a lady who has been there for years, and she took it away. Once the bill came the omlet was still on the tab and my wife asked if she could take it off. She said the owner was not working and that she could not do that. I then asked her who was in charge and she said that no one was. I told her that we were not going to pay for it and she said there was nothing she could do. We told her that we had been coming here for years and that we even bring our friends here so there must be something that she could do. She ended up taking two dollars of the bill saying that was because we had eaten the biscuit and some of the grits. We did not leave a tip and will not be going back.

My wife and I stumbled across the Beacon while we were dating in different colleges and met in New Smyrna as a halfway point. We drove around for an hour looking for a place for lunch, and saw a few cop cars at the Beacon so assumed that they were either being robbed or very good since the locals were there. Luckily, there was no foul play, only very smart cops who knew where to get a great lunch! The Beacon is simple Southern comfort next to the beach. Nothing very fancy, but everything done well. The food is outstanding and some of the lowest prices you might find anywhere. My wife and I now go back a few times a year even though it is two hours away and we have no other reason to go! We just love the Beacon and wish we could take it home with us, or possibly move closer. :)
