We went there for my birthday dinner. Got there about 6 pm. We sat at front counter where the wood fire was and it was warm and nice. Our waiter was either a smotherer or a no show. He was there too much for awhile, then we waited forever for him to come again. In fairness to him, the place was getting very busy after we arrived. For a Tuesday they were Very busy. Our waiter forgot to bring our salads so I got him to fix them for us to go, which he did pronto.
We shared the cheese platter for our appetizer : 4 kinds of cheese, cherry sauce, honey and walnuts. A good value but I would suggest they put the honey and cherries in a little ramekin so it doesn't run all over the plate. We both ordered the eggplant parm. Although I have not eaten meat for many years it was reminiscent of a thin slice of rubbery liver ! I finally just pulled the eggplant away and just ate the pasta. Really Bad ! We did not have a desert. Also I asked for a cabernet sav and told the waiter to choose which one. He chose the $13.50 per glass. It Was very good though. We had to wait a long time for our bill and it was just under $100.00 ! I would not eat here again. The scenery is pretty with lots of light effects and decorations. We heard a Piano player Somewhere but never saw him in person nor knew where he was. I believe this restaurant has been here awhile and has Star status but they management really needs to look at all the "little " things that make visit to their place special.
