Such a great place to relax and unwind. You can drive on this beach. There is a small fee during the busier parts of the year, but in the winter months it is free. The beach is very wide, allowing plenty of space for cars and families to stay out of each others' way. There are numerous access points staggered throughout town and there is usually at least a porta-john at each one. Some have showers to help rinse off the sand on your way out. At Flagler Avenue, there are full restroom facilities and showers, however that is also usually the busiest part of the beach. Most days you can go further down the beach and find your own little space without being bothered. Surfers usually gravitate toward the north end of the beach near the inlet, and on the other side of the wall is a dog-friendly beach and a non-commercial boardwalk. There are good eats and shopping on Flagler Ave if you need to get out of the sun. And there are numerous hotels in the area. You can't beat this beach for a nice quiet getaway without all the crowds and commercialism.
