“A dog haven, so beautiful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Great beach to enjoy with your doggie. Lots of nice dog owners to meet. Saw very many boats coming by and the sand was real nice. Gorgeous place to swim, soak up the sun and just relax. Before 10AM dogs can walk the boardwalk too. Well worth 5 bucks to get in.

“Nice place, nice beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

We took a trip here with my wife's sister & husband. We got there early, as advised and parking in the only car park was easy. If you get there later in the morning, forget it! There was a queue of cars trying to get in later. Price for parking was $5.00
We took the 1 mile walk on the boardwalk to the beach and it would have been a lovely walk. I say would because there are thousands of mosquitoes on the first part of the walk. That did ruin what should have been a nice walk. If you elect to go early, then go prepared.
Near the beach, there are some shelters but not a lot, so make sure you have a hat in that Florida sun. You cannot fault the beach. It is large and never seems crowded. We took a swim for a while, before venturing further up the beach towards Daytona. It is actually nicer there and it like calmer waters, then it is good for that.
There is a kind of rock built pontoon heading into the sea and that takes some work, climbing all over that but fun.

We enjoyed the day out there and when we walked back, we continued on the boardwalk, in the same direction and the walk back to the car was actually longer but a bit nicer this time.
You can stop off further down there and head to the beach on the river. If we had more time, we would have but maybe next time we will take a look there.
So, a nice day and worth a visit and the whole area is very nice, apart from the early morning mosquitoes!

“Dog Friendly Beach”

Small, and quite the walk to get there. But did like the hose off area and the fact your dog is allowed :)
