Not sure what the other rooms for owners or renters are like but we took the Interval Resort Accommodation at a modest price. I guess I should have known you get what you pay for. Got probably the worst room in the place and staff would not respond to any change! I had to go out to the front desk which was only a few feet away - our room was the very first one off the lobby and request that the housekeeper come in for a re-clean our bathroom that they claim was cleaned and inspected. Gross!!
Beach was nice and pool area empty which was great. So why couldn't they change our room????
Guess they don't want to clean.
We were never approached for a timeshare preview - thank goodness!!

My wife and I checked in on Sunday and left Thursday.. Property is old and outdated. It smelled old and musty as soon as we walked into the lobby. We stayed in one bedroom unit. The toilet was old and blocked for two days. The bathroom tiles were dirty and cracked. The furniture was old and outdated. The couch and chair were very uncomfortable. The room is very small and cramped. Ice maker made noise all night when the ice dropped. We were also duped in listening to the timeshare sales pitch by a slick sales tactic. We told them we did not want to sit down for one, but they told it was only to discuss the new timeshare point system. We were duped... they try to sell us one week for $6900. Very deceiving.. Also, the $75 Visa for sitting on the sales talk did not work for two days. Numerous calls and threats got us the $70 Visa.. after $5 service fee. The front staff were not very friendly. We could not wait to get home.

First of all this place DOES NOT offer everything Like whirlpools and weight rooms. This place is run down has BLACK MOLD IN BATHROOM, in which they came in sprayed bleach on it and said it was taken care of. If anyone knows BLACK MOLD can only be taken care of it if it is REMOVED! If you need towels or anythink you need to go a block down the street to the office. Also 10 parking spots are available so that means you have to park in the grass across the street and down a bit.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR CHOOSE ANOTHER PLACE!

We stayed at Coconut Palms Resort II, for eight days, seven nights, and had a wonderful time. The beach is right out back, just steps away, two wonderful pools, lots of activities and a pool side tiki bar if that is your thing, the weather was perfect and the ammenities were nice. The room was adequately clean, they are in the process of a complete remodel, we did not have a remodeled room, yet we found it nice, clean and it worked out great for us. It was stocked well with what you need to get by, coffee maker, toaster, dishes etc. My complaints would be the AC/Furnace is just too loud, it would drown out the TV, if I was in the bedroom that had one I guess it might even disturb your sleep, we had a two bedroom and it wasn't in mine so no issue there. The hot water in the tub just basically didn't exist and the water pressure in the shower was terrible, but in the sink it would scald you if not careful, so don't know how that can happen. The balcony doors were heavy and difficult to slide in both rooms. So basically minor incoveniences not worth getting frustrated over. We were there for Biketoberfest so were in and out quite a bit, the staff was friendly, the unit was perfect for our needs and I would go back in a heartbeat... New Smyrna is beautiful, quiet and not overly built up. We also located a daycare center called First Friends just over the bridge near canal street that allowed you to do drop in child care for $25.00 a day, my grandson had so much fun there he did not want to leave and that allowed us to get some motorcycle riding in, after we got his Disney, beach, and pool days out of the way. We love the facility and the location. Beds and pillows were comfortable too, that hard to find away from home. Some of the complaints I've read on here just didn't seem to apply, if you are overly picky and looking for luxury maybe this is not the place for you, if you are looking for clean, fun, convenient accomodations don't pass this place up.
