“a little too upscale for the beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Stopped in late on a Tuesday evening and was happy the kitchen was still open, as other places nearby were already closed for the evening. Simple Burgers and a few beers, took the edge off but more dollars from our wallets than we thought were fair. Just a little too trendy for our neighborhood expectations. The proprietor was congenial, the waiter accommodating, but the food too pricey and service too long winded, as if we'd stay longer (and spend more) if they just took their sweet time.

“Worth a Go”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Went on a weeknight in August so it wasn't very crowded which was nice. The atmosphere was nice. Not "beach bummy" and not fancy either. It wasn't too loud in the restaurant which i completely appreciate. We went with another couple and we tasted each others entrees. They were all VERY GOOD but I wouldn't say GREAT. I had the best entree which was seared scallops atop polenta cakes. The presentation was every nice and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Arugula and fig flatbread was just ok. Would not get that again. We also had a very nice Riesling wine which we enjoyed. We all felt our server was a little, well, "different", and not in a fun way. After our interactions with him we just looked at each other like.... OooooK? (But maybe he thought that about us too, lol)

Anyway, we will return again if we are in the area and after we eat at our other favorite haunts in NSB.

“SoDissapointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We had great expectations for SoNapa during our summer of 2013 NSB restaurant tour.

The interior is attracative and feels relaxed. The service was very good. We ordered the crab cakes and shrimp as appitizers. Just SoSo, SoNapa.

The herb crusted chicken was swimming in cheese sauce and the catch of the day tuna had clearly been frozen and was actually inedible.

Maybe next year...

“Great place, nice variety!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Beachside in NSB. Ate here last night with family. Everyone had something different, and it was all excellent. Tried the duck confit egg rolls - absolutely delicious. Others at the table had the ravioli, salmon, filet, hamburger, and flatbread pizza. All were excellent and the service was great!

“Excellent food! Great location! Don't miss this!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

We ate here twice in the one week.. Food is excellent! Totally recommend you go here, one of the best meals i have eaten!
First time we where seated in the bar, and it was Thursday Happy hour, and it was a bit too loud, as we were a family, but overall a great atmosphere. The food here is fresh, well cooked, and tastes so well. The bread and pesto is to die for!! fantastic wine list, and Happy hour 5-7 is great value !!! If you are at NSB do or miss this experience!
One feedback to management.. Service is patchy..the front desk could be more welcoming and at busy times the servers are stretched.. But they have a great manner and they make up for it!
I cannot wait to go back!! Well done!!
