East Bay Crab House (Formerly Toby's) is great. I used to live about 2 miles from there and went nearly every week. Very laid back but great service and food. Checker board table cloths with original artwork surrounds the walls and are for sale. The bar has a huge fish tank, but there is nothing fancy about this place.
I'd always get the same thing; fried catfish and shrimp. Comes with hushpuppies and two sides for about $12. Never tried breakfast there but it was prepared by "Hazel"; apparently a woman who has been there forever.
Just a nice place to lay back and relax with a good meal. Can't say enough about it. It is a local joint so most likely you may be one of only a few out-of-towners, which is fine with everyone. People in Navarre are very welcoming and if you want to see the best beach in the U.S. keep going toward Pensacola a mile or so and turn left onto the bridge and either go straight and park, or turn right at the stop sign and marvel at the sugar white dunes on both sides of the road.
There are many parking lots on the left. If you are a family, you may stay clear of lot #2; it's geared toward single men. The parking lots are numberd and painted on the street. There are many more places to park however. You may want to continue all the way to Pensacola, which is about 28 miles, but the drive is worth it.
