We ate there this weekend, a big family gathering for a wedding. Our party ended up being spread out among three tables, they would not seat us together. We had to keep getting up and going to each other's tables just to visit. The whole situation caused the bride to cry the night before her wedding when it should have been a joyous evening! They told us they would not allow us to put our tables together. The wait staff was humorless and had no personality. We were tired of shouting across the room to each other so we pushed two small tables together so we could chat. We had barely sat down when a manager came rushing over there and chastised us as though we were first-graders getting in trouble. He was horribly rude and his tone of voice was simply inexcusable. What about customer service!!!! We would never ever ever eat there again, because of this particular manager. The food was simply so-so, not worth the hassle. I would never recommend this to my friends.
Recently ate at Cocodries during vacation. The restaurant itself is very nice. Tableclothes...etc... The menu is not huge, but we certainly did not have any problems finding something to eat. Most people around us were ordering the etoufee. We had the blackened grouper sandwich---very spicey!! We ordered the crabcake appetizer and added a side to make it a meal. The crabcakes were good. The food is a little pricey, but that is to be expected at a good seafood place. There are only two restaurants on the beach and this place is definitely worth the trip.
I went to Cocodries on Navarre Beach some time ago. I must say that the food was excellent. The service was phoenomenal. Everyone there was very polite and did a fantastic job. There was only one thing about my experience there that I did not like and that was the owner Chris or Chad I believe was his name. He would come out to the bar and start telling off his employees, belittling them in front of a huge crowd. Yelling and swearing in front of small children and making everyone there especially myself very uncomfortable. That is not professional way to run a business. But if you do happen to go by there just make sure that he is not around.
The food is good, atmosphere is great. Though, it looks like a place where the locals hang out...
