“Phenomenal Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

The new decor and club level suites are absolutly superb. The staff was attentive and took care of my every need. Will definitely be back. The continental breakfast of the club was perfect for an early start and the evening appetizers were great as well.

The location of the Inn on Fifth makes it easy to enjoy all that Naples has to offer downtown and at the beach. The staff -- from valet Enrique to front desk (especially intern Eric) was just great. The Inn has one of the nicest fitness centers I've seen and the pool and hot tub area is beautiful; very romantic. When we go back to Naples this will be our place to stay. We liked it so much, we extended our stay two nights.

Room Tip: The fitness center is on the third floor; the pool is on the second floor. There is a "club&qu...

We stayed for a week in January 2013. If you are not familiar with Naples, Fifth Avenue is the hot spot - five blocks of restaurants, shops, and a theater. If you like to be able to walk to dinner and stores, this is the spot for you. And, this is the only hotel in the immediate area.

Recently redecorated, our standard room was spacious, clean, and well equipped: safe, a/c-heat unit, small fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, flat screen TV with a LOT of channels, Jouliet balcony, huge shower, free We-Fi, lots of outlets for phones etc, and two double beds. Spend more $$ and you can get a larger room with a real balcony. We were in 361, overlooking the pool and near the rear elevator to the parking lot. Free self park with access from the rear. The pool area is large and was never crowded. Hot tub was not too hot and the jets were weak. You can get food/beverage service from the Irish pub downstairs.

The only negative is the exercise room - fairly well equipped but the two E-trainers both had problems. My wife had a facial in the spa and said it was average.

You want restaurants and bars? Just walk out the front and start walking. There must be 40 within five blocks. Our favorites were McCabes Irish Pub (in the hotel), Yabba Island Grill, and Luna. Try Bleu Provence for an upscale French treat (about 8 blocks away). Note that most of these places have early bird specials and other "two for" deals.

The third street corridor has more restaurants and shops and is only about 6 blocks away. We walked around a lot and always felt safe. Try the Old Naples Pub in that area for an inexpensive and casual bite or drink.

Most of Naples is not like this downtown area. It is mostly broad highways with huge golf courses and housing with plenty of stripmalls.

For an adventure, drive 80 miles to the Everglades Shark Valley area and take the two hour tram tour. You will learn a lot about the fascinating Everglades and see a bunch of gators. Or, drive 30 miles to Everglades City and take an air boat tour - I recommend the Everglades City Airboat Tour - new boats, well run, a lot of fun.

We got lost one day near Marco Island and found Goodland Fla - a small little town on the East side of the island. Blue collar and laid back, it has the New Little Bar and Restaurant. This is a great place with open air setting. Try the stone crab platter for $24 - you cannot beat this deal. (Closed out of season).

Although you can fly into Naples, try Fort Myers as there a number of non-stops into this nice, small airport.

For history buffs, walk from the hotel to the Depot Museum, which sounds like a train museum (yes, it is), but it much more - a superb history museum of Naples and the surrounding area. Don't miss this free gem.

You really did it all during your week stay! Thank you very generous comments about our newly renovated rooms. I am glad that you really took advantage of the surrounding area. Visiting 3rd Street, Macro Island, and the Everglades allows you to get the full experience. You even went to the museum, one of my favorite spots here! Thank you for bringing hot tub and fitness room issues to my attention. Maintenance is working on hot tub, and our spa manager is taking care of the e-trainer. Thank you for your review, we hope to see you again.

This is a great Hotel set in the heart of Naples with the best shopping and restaurants just outside the door. The beach is a short drive away as is 3rd. Street with more shops and restaurants.
We had a Junior suite which was large, It very well appointed with a 50" TV (only American channels though - disappointing for a Hotel of International class). We loved the massive walk in shower and the extra King size bed.
Only disappointment was the lack of slippers which again was a surprise. So if you like slippers bring your own.
There is only room service for breakfast unless you wish to go to a nearby cafe.
There is a super heated swimming pool and hot tub set in a large area on the second floor.
This was much finer than the usual city hotel pool and we enjoyed it a lot.
All in all, a great, but rather expensive, choice.
There is WiFi free throughout the hotel and grounds.

Room Tip: If it is not too pricey choose a Junior Suite with a front facing balcony.

Thank you for your recent stay at The Inn on Fifth. I greatly appreciate you reviewing our hotel. I am glad you enjoyed our rooftop pool and hot tub. It is great year round because of the great Florida weather, and it is heated in the case when it is a little chilly outside. Thank you again for choosing The Inn on Fifth, we hope to see you again in the future.

Great location in the center of town. The room decor was fine, but we had a clock that couldn't keep the correct time with an alarm that went off at 4am without being set; no breakfast room service; and a TV that couldn't find a signal most of the time.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room facing the street, otherwise there is no view.

Thank you for submitting a review to our property. I am sorry that we were not offering breakfast during your stay. We offer breakfast at McCabes Irish Pub on Friday, Saturday and Sunday's. I hope our concierge was able to steer you to one of the great cafes that are a short walk from the hotel. I terribly sorry to hear about your alarm clock and TV signal troubles. Our maintenance team can fix television signal problems, I hope our Front Desk was able to rely the problem to maintenance. Please contact me at NickF@innonfifth.com if your issues were not handled in a timely manner. We take all reviews seriously, and I greatly appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I hope we have the privilege to have you as a guest in the future.

This was our 2nd stay here and found it great both times.
Everything about our stays was good.
The rooms have all been redecorated since our last stay and we have booked again to stay this year.
Looking forward to seeing the new decor.
Highly recommend choosing this hotel if you plan to stay in this area.
It's in a good position with easy access to the beach, at the end of the street.

Thanks.

Room Tip: All rooms we have stayed in were nice. Never stayed in a suite but, I'm guessing they are great...

Thank you for your continued patronage, and for reviewing our hotel. Since your stay in June, we have completely renovated all guest areas, and have opened up our new Club Level Suites directly across the street. The decor is so wonderful! A complete rebirth of our property. On your next stay we would love to give you a tour of the Club Level. Ask one of our Front Desk agents, and we will have someone from the Club Lounge meet you for a tour. Thank you again for your loyalty and we look forward to your return.
