“Perfect Location in Old Naples”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2011

From the moment we pulled the car into the drive, we knew we booked the perfect hotel for us. We were warmly greeted at the front desk by Peter and a female employee. Peter gave us lots of helpful information about the hotel. For those expecting the Ritz Carlton and its amenities- this is not. But, the Trianon Old Naples is a beautiful, charming hotel that has comfortable beds with quality linens, large rooms, a friendly and helpful staff (all shifts). The complimentary continental breakfast consists of bagels, breads, muffins, danish, cereals, fruit, juices, and coffee/tea - more than adequate for a continental breakfast. Something that I loved was that after enjoying breakfast, I could grab a coffee to go from the buffet for our early morning walk since cups and lids were also provided. The location is perfect to walk to 5th Avenue restaurants and shops ( 2 blocks away) and to Tin City (2 blocks the other way).
We decided to leave the car at the hotel and walk to the beach many times (about 8 -10 blocks). Naples Pier was only a few blocks further once at the beach. Since we traveled in mid/late July, brief thunderstorms can be normal in late afternoon. When late day showers were forecasted, we drove to the beach – be sure to have quarters for parking.
There is a pool and towels provided for use in the pool area (pack beach towels). The pool was refreshing and comfortable. Some days, it was busy but only for a short time.
There is free wifi in the room, hotel lobby and pool area.
We had an excellent stay at the Trianon Old Naples and cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone was kind, courteous, and extremely helpful!

Following on from the other reviews, I would agree that it's nice for the price. No negatives exactly, just nothing hugely memorable!

We arrived very early, around 12:30 and were initially informed that our room wasnt yet available. So we went to freshen up in the restrooms, but were then informed that they had shuffled the rooms and we could check in. Bonus!

We had a leaky air con unit. This was dealt with very quickly and we were allowed to move rooms for the inconvenience.

The location was excellent. Two minuted to the top of fifth avenue where the restaurants and shops are.

The breakfast was basic, but filling. Plenty of bread, bagels and english muffins. With a couple of choices of cereal. Also coffee, tea and juices. There were also muffins and fruit. Great for the price!

Overall, excellent value for money. Could do with a little freshen up in the rooms, but this would have made it more expensive no doubt!

Like many other reviews, we too can now say that 'its good for the price'. Driving up, Beautiful and charming. Lobby entrance, very nice and again charming. That's where it stops. We were greeted by Peter at the front desk. I think we got a hello but we quickly got a 'check in isnt' until 3 (it was 12:30). Ok, i get it but a) that was our first experience with this hotel and b) wouldn't a better way to say it be 'Check in isnt' til 3 but let me see if I can get you a room...'. Just kind of offsetting, and by reading other reviews re the staff this now seems right on target.

The bedroom was mostly clean, it was large but man does it need an upgrade. Just felt old, bathroom definitely needs a remodel and maybe a deep cleaning....maybe a new tv (the 19" magnovox tube tv doesn't cut it these days). The beds were tempurpedic so that was nice. We went to the pool which was nice but very quiet (almost 2 quiet) but it served the purpose (as we got into town mid afternoon and had a wedding a night).

I wasn't planning on eating breakfast at the hotel but based on the other reviews I had to see 'if it was truly white bread, juice, and coffee'. Yup, it was. No fruit. Coffee was lukewarm.

So back to the summary 'Good for the price'. Not sure I would go back, but for a one nighter it was fine.

A old hotel who reminded me about something you could find in Europe.
The room was big and a bit outdatet.
We stayed there two nights, but unfortunately we had a 24 H rain.
There wasn't enought place in the diningarea when we had breakfast so we had to eat outside:-(

Our stay at the Trianon was for the second week of a "Drive Round" visit again to this area of the Gulf Coast - and it could not have been a more enjoyable occasion, enhanced by our stay at this Hotel.
The location was in a most pleasant residential area, yet within walking distance of evrything that one might want for in a holiday - shops of all kinds and a great choice of Restaurants to suit all tastes.
Ample parking at the Hotel itself, made life easy at all times.
The warm weclome and help from the staff at the Trianon continued throughout our week's stay here.
The decdor and ambience were just what was required being comfortable, pleasant and restful. Very ample sized bedrooms tastefull appointed and with good sized bathroom.
To start the day breakfast was served in a very pleasant lounge type room (rather than in a formal Dining Room set up) or could be taken in an outside patio.
The brekfast itself was more than adequate for most needs to start the day off.
Witing a few minutes walk were every kind of shop to suit every taste and range of spending as well as a first class Theatre offering entertainment of a high quality at at a reasonable price.
Definitely a situation and Hotel which can be recommended to ensure that an enjoyable Holiday is experienced by all tastes.

Living in Fort Lauderdale we LOVE to take a weekend getaway to the west coast of FL and have stayed at Beach Club, Naples Beach Grande which are way to crowded during the summer. We always gravitate back to the Trianon right off Fifth Ave., you don't even need to drive. Perfect, quiet boutique hotel.
Added bonus, Tempurpedic beds!

From the well decorated lobby and breakfast/bar area to the oversized deluxe double room, this hotel was an excellent choice for our "getaway" weekend. Only two blocks from 5th Ave South with all the shops and restaurants, the location proved to be outstanding. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, the pool area was well kept and the room and the bathroom were exceptionally clean and tidy. The continental breakfast included bagels, muffins, danish, cereal, juice and some fresh fruit. The beaches were mostly public and an easy walk, about 8 blocks, to the Gulf. The Naples Pier was a 5 minute car ride and had metered street parking and parking lot. We loved the great location, value and service of the Trianon--it is truly a GEM!!!

Room Tip: Large balcony is nice but costs extra
