We have stayed at this motel many times. This time we took our 2 granddaughters, ages 10 and 7. Our room was extremely dilapidated and needing upgrades. Furniture and bedding very old and musty; towels were of poor quality.
Receptionist at front desk was unfriendly and going through the motions- almost rude. In fact when i asked for a map of the area, on our second day, I felt as though I was intruding. He handed it to me- no comment, no may I help you, etc.
Breakfast was sparse- packaged waffles, muffins, boxed cereal.
Although the Turtle Club is lovely and food is good, service was not up to par on the night we dined there. Same children's menu across the street on the bay side was $5.00 less per child.
Would we return to Vanderbilt Resort, I don't think so.
