We had two nights at the Waldorf, including a Saturday, and despite a big wedding and a doctors convention we did not find the place crowded apart from a very full self-parking lot. The views from high floor rooms are great and we liked the big bathroom which had both a bath and separate shower. The tram service to the beach was great as were the beach facilities and pool area. The only disappointment was the breakfast which we felt was average at best, particularly for a hotel with the Waldorf name. We had a breakfast included package but for the price I would not have wanted to pay for it separately. Nonetheless, this was a small matter and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again but quite expensive when the mandatory resort charge has been added in.

For the first time last year, we celebrated New Years Eve for several days at the Waldorf Astoria Naples. It was an easy drive from Fort Myers airport and we had a reunion with friends from all across the country and France. It was a great place to celebrate New Years Eve.

The ballroom was decorated and festive; a delicious dinner was served and there was a big band for dancing and fun. In the Aura Lobby Bar there were big screen TV’s set up to watch the ball go down in Times Square compete with noise makers, new years hats and complimentary champagne.

We walked outside on the terrace with a beautiful fire pit surround by a waterfall. The terrace overlooked a beautiful swimming pool with the jungle and the ocean in the background. It was spectacular.

The management of the hotel did a magnificent job of coordinating a series of days in celebration of the New Year.

We were booked into this property by the organizers of a professional education seminar and were so impressed that we stayed on an additional two days. Both the premises and the service had the "flavour" of being on a cruise. The 1/2 mile boardwalk (with optional no-charge shuttle) to a "movie picture" beach" was a super plus.
General Manager Theo Gornell is the quintessential "guests' manager". One cannot say too much about his treatment of guests.

We travel to Naples a few times a year and have been going to this spa for a while. It's gotten better and better over the years as ownership changed. The setting is completely zen and the staff is very professional and accommodating. This past massage goes down as the best massage ever and worth the extremely expensive rate (e.g. Overpriced). What disappointed is the upkeep. I had spa services two days in a row and was the last to use the shower one day and the first the next.....and it very definitely was not cleaned in between. Yuck. After our massages we enjoyed the plunge pool and the steam room. However the plunge pool didn't look very clean and the ladies room was out of toilet paper for the entire three hours I was there. I could have said something but really, I didn't want to be bothered. So all in all while I love this spa and will return for sure, I hope they step up the upkeep.
